WEST HAM UNITED v CARDIFF CITY
npower CHAMPIONSHIP PLAY OFF SEMI FINAL SECOND LEG
    MONDAY 7 MAY 2012
    KICK-OFF: 4:30pm

    Introduction

    • West Ham United welcome Cardiff City to east London for their Bank Holiday Monday Play-Off semi-final second leg having secured a 2-0 victory in the first leg in Cardiff on Thursday evening courtesy of two first-half goals from Jack Collison.

    • The winner of the tie will go on to face either Blackpool or Birmingham in the final at Wembley on 19 May. Blackpool hold a 1-0 advantage from the first leg at Bloomfield Road.

    • The Hammers have only lost four games at home all season, one of those to Cardiff on the first day of the season. However, only one of those losses has been by more than one goal, when Reading won 4-2 at the Boleyn Ground in March.

    • West Ham are looking to bounce straight back to the Premier League and Cardiff are looking to reach the Premier League for the first time in their history.

    Team News

    West Ham

    • The Hammers picked up no injuries during Thursday night's game in Cardiff and manager Sam Allardyce will have a fully-fit squad to choose from.

    • The likes of George McCartney, Julien Faubert, Henri Lansbury and Nicky Maynard will be pushing for a place in first XI after missing out on a starting berth in Cardiff.

    Cardiff City

    • Right Back Kevin McNaughton looks set to miss out again having limped off in the Bluebirds' last game of the season at Crystal Palace. Darcy Blake could take over at right back.

    • Cardiff Manager Malky Mackay has an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from for Monday's encounter.

Tickets for Monday's home leg of the npower Championship Play-Off semi-final with Cardiff City have now sold out as fans rush to see if West Ham United can make it to Wembley.

Tickets went on sale to Season Ticket holders and Bondholders immediately after Saturday's visit of Hull City and there was a rush of fans looking to secure their seats for the 4.30pm kick-off. Tickets for Season Ticket holders were priced at just £15 for Adult tickets and £5 for under-16s as part of the Board's commitment to make football affordable for all.

The remaining tickets went on general sale at 9am on Thursday and the last few were sold on Friday morning, meaning for the second home match in a row, West Ham United will be playing in front of a packed house at the Boleyn Ground.

For those who could not get a ticket in time, West Ham TV will be running full match commentary of the game.

My mate rang the ticket office Thursday morning and was told they had sold out. However, I was able to get her one online last night, although a poo seat, she accepted it.

That's why I queried your post Tony. Anyway I saw online this morning that were were lots more seats, in a better area than we had booked, and phoned the ticket office to complain, and was again told they had sold out.......After a row with the little prick, I told him I had a seat clicked, that was awaiting my payment, but obviously I just wanted a change. After excuses that me in the process of buying was the reason he couldn't see it blah, blah, blah, he changed it over. I still don't understand how he couldn't see the others :x

How comes he's got a job and I aint? confu

Oh, and by the way ......... Cardiff City gay fight

Subs: Henderson, McCartney, Faubert, Lansbury, Maynard

Cardiff City: Marshall, McNaughton, Taylor, Hudson, Turner, Lawrence, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, McPhail, Mason, Miller

4.17pm - James Tomkins receives his award for Hammer of the Year runner-up. He gets a big cheer, but not as loud as the one received by Mark Noble for winning Hammer of the Year. Finally, Ricardo Vaz Te receives his award for being SBOBET and npower Championship Player of the Month for April. After all the silverware, West Ham will get down to the business of lifting another trophy. We're just more than ten minutes from kick-off...
