MARTIN SAMUEL: Sam's second-string plan is making West Ham dreams fade and die

For a man in need of a sudden reversal of fortune, West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce is going about his business in a very strange way these days.

What a lot of tosh that Martin is spouting.

'Reserves'? What is this, the 1970's?

It's a squad game, nowadays. If there are senior players in the squad who are not good enough to play against PL opposition, then what in hell are they doing there collecting wages?

Are all the other managers who use these games to play squad players also killing their fans' dreams?

We played on Saturday, we play today, we play again on Saturday.

We then play the following Thursday, Saturday, Wednesday and Sunday.

7 games in 21 days, and Allardyce has the very nerve to suggest he will make use of his (depleted) squad over this period?

    Madness...

btw, for the hard of thinking, the above is an example of sarcasm.

I completely Concur with M.S, and as I see it that the dinosaur Allardyce and his hit and hope football, antiquated and vulgar management style and crass and flawed transfer policy is messing with the very DNA of our club and our identity and leaving thousands of us deeply un-happy Hammers.
I have never thought of him as the right man for us and never will and hate the fact he is spokesman for our West Ham and therefore me but in a strange way I understand that he should remain in his job as it would be unfair on any one to inherit his ramshackle mess of a squad and try and improve them and as I see it, the best outcome would be for him to carry on  spouting his self preservational, egotistical arrogant "8 clean sheet drivel till the end of the season, finish us fourth from bottom and then be replaced by a manager whose vision and philosophy isn't lump it up, hit and hope football

Sorry, but I do agree with sue. I'd also love to see a good cup run, but feel its a luxury for teams not staring down the barell of a relegation scrap

    Lol !!
H.H. Is still on the piss in Dublin with The Dublin Hammers after watching another woefull display of spineless, inept, passionless, nausiating Allardyce hit and hope, excuse for football against an average Man U side who we made look like fecking world beaters !!!!

Having to hope their will be three worse than us come may, having to listen to him, tell us the fans and the whole planet that because of the the state of the team that he, through his flawed and shitty management and the dismal signings he made has put in the relegation scrap so we will be playing a weakened team against arch rivals in the quater final of a cup game, and by playing his antiquated, out dated hit and hope football is simply  not the identity I want for our West Ham  and I  just can't have him at our club and think he is soooooooo wrong for us it hurts  !!!

Ps I found out today that our Neanderthal of a manager is the 13th highest paid Football Club Manaager IN THE WORLD !!!!
