Re: ticket prices 1981
£62.00, third highest price in the 2nd division, with 17 clubs cheaper than us in the first for a season ticket!
£37.80 a season to pay at the turnstiles and stand in the terraces We never had it so good!

Re: ticket prices 1981
In 1967 it used to cost me 13 shillings and 6d for a return to Upton park from Burnt Oak, 1 shilling for a programme, 3 shilling and 6d to get onto the North bank, leaving me 2 shillings for sausage and chips from the chippie by the tube station. So I go to see Moore Hurst and Peters plus a host of lesser stars (Charlton, Best and Law if we were playing manure) all for £1 NOW that is value for money!!!

Re: ticket prices 1981
In 1975, I was earning a mere £15 a week. I remember paying £1.50 for my FA Cup final ticket.
By 1981, I was earning £28 a week, and working in Romford so saving £2.50 a week on my weekly travel to Liverpool Street. Didn't make the FA cup final that year, as was getting married Our first flat cost £3.00 a week to rent!
