Sakho and Kouyate both make the Senegal squad for the AFCON

It appears that Sakho has taken a certain Demba Ba's spot in the squad

Demba is none to pleased  Laughing  and made his feeling know on Twitter

Not sure who will be missed the most.

Hopefully Carroll and Valencia can hit it off to cover Sakhos absence.

Even though he gave the ball away for the second goal yesterday I do worry more about Kouyate being away after seeing the performances of Noble and Nolan yesterday.

Noble probably needs more game time after missing recent games through injury but Nolan was just a passenger. In an ideal world id like to see a great performance against Arsenal and a comfortable one against West Brom that allows us to give Diego Poyet some game time assuming that he is fit.

according to Mr Gold, all players are now fit, no injuries and no suspensions , which has to be a first for Nolan over Christmas

Excellent. Maybe now BFS will break up the slow and slower partnership in our central midfield

He could have done that with Poyet, though young and inexperienced he has more mobility (and ability) than Noble and Nolan. I'd drop them both, stick Kouyate and Amalfitano in and tell Song sit and protect the back 4 (properly this time)

So Kouyate came back injured and we didn't know about it until he got off the plane and apparently Sakho was left out of the squad today because of the situation with him not going to the African Cup due to injuy but then playing for us last week. I just saw this on twitter

Its been confirmed that FIFA are now looking into this
Sakho could face a domestic suspension and the club faced with a fine (another few bob to line Septic Bladders pockets)

Bristol City also looking to cash in ....... Same shit, same club .............. different season   Sakho and Kouyate 2723394577

Bristol City will demand compensation from West Ham if FIFA determine that Diafra Sakho should not have played in their FA Cup tie.
Senegal were furious with West Ham for not releasing Sakho for the Africa Cup of Nations then playing him in their fourth-round clash with Bristol City where he scored the winner.
Senegal reported West Ham and Sakho to FIFA – who are investigating the situation – and the League One club will seek compensation should world football's governing body take action.

Sorry if I'm the bearer of bad news, but it looks like someone within the club has fupped up again!  Sakho and Kouyate 2723394577

Sir Ian has posted this on Facebook, from Fifa's regulations on the status and transfer of players.  So for those of you who don't get over there, here goes ....

sweet, we'll be kicked out of the FA Cup...

the only fly in the ointment is what happens if they don't make the decision before the next round - which is only two weeks away...

The need to give Brizzle time to prepare for the game and also, they need to make the decision before that game takes place because... well... who gives a shit... we're out, so it hardly matters...

you'd think people would know how to do their jobs - but I guess that's too much to ask.

funny, I remember us getting off completely after Tevezgate... then erm... it went on and on and on and we ended up not getting off at all!!!

    Sakho and Kouyate 780148547

who the fupp knows what's gonna happen with this... the rules are blindingly clear what the punishment should be so I have no freaking idea how FIFA justifies letting us off with a fine of less than we actually got paid for playing the match in the first place...

It appears to only rule broken was that we should have contacted the Senegal Fa to request permission to field Sakho
    that is all
    so basically an admin error

No premiership or FA rules were broken at all
