I was spouting that guff about Tevez for a long, long time - perhaps some people don't remember him actually playing for us.
I agree with Dicksy's Knee... sure... mid-table security is a noble (pun intended) goal...
IF...
we were staying at the Boleyn or if we were in the Chumps division...
but we're moving into a 50,000 seater stadium... whether we like it or not, were going to be in the public eye more than ever before and we'll be judged (rightly or wrongly) on how full that stadium is and the football that is played when the seats get retracted or pushed forward or however it's going to work.
Whether we love then or hate them...
Is this really the environment for a "mid-table" team built around a spine of Tomkins, Noble and Carlton Cole?
I don't think so...
And that's my point about BFSA...
You might want to keep him or can him... but his replacement is vital... jumping on the merry-go-round of mid-table managers - solves nothing, achieves nothing.
If he's to go then he need to be replaced with someone better, higher up the managerial food chain - a manager that would legitimately go to one of the top 5 or 6 clubs in the premiership... not someone who would be happy with a job a Newcastle, Everton, Crystal Palace or West Brom.
I hope everyone also realizes that if we ship out Sam at the end of the season then we completely play into his message or him being a great manager who is never given a chance... he will and can rightly say he did everything that was asked of him... taking West Ham out of the championship and into the the Prem and then putting them in the top half of the table...
