QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
Queens Park Rangers' fight against Premier League relegation continues when they host West Ham at Loftus Road.
Chris Ramsey's side are two points adrift of safety but have the opportunity to close that gap against a West Ham side without a win in nine away league games.
It was QPR's home form which kept them in touch at the start of the season but since the turn of the year they have failed to pick up a win in front of their home fans.
They will hope to change that against an out-of-form West Ham, however, they have struggled against all their London rivals this season, winning just one point in nine Premier League London derbies
Team news
Ramsey will make a late decision on whether to risk Leroy Fer for the visit of West Ham.
Fer is close to overcoming a knee injury that has kept him out since February, while Yun Suk-young is also available having recovered from concussion.
Richard Dunne is fit again after returning from a knee injury but Rio Ferdinand (knock), Eduardo Vargas and Alejandro Faurlin (both knee) remain sidelined.
West Ham will be unable to welcome back any of their injured players for the trip across London to relegation-threatened QPR.
Sam Allardyce's Hammers have won just once in their last 12 games and are still without James Tomkins (shoulder), Andy Carroll (knee) and Diafra Sakho (thigh).
Meanwhile, a calf injury picked up by full-back Guy Demel has also left Allardyce short of options in defence
Opta facts
Queens Park Rangers have allowed more shots on target against them than any other team in the Premier League (181).
West Ham have lost a league-high seven points with goals conceded in the 90th minute or later.
QPR have conceded the first goal on 24 occasions in the Premier League this season; more often than any other side.
27 Players have started a Premier League game for QPR this season; more than at any other club.
Charlie Austin has had a hand in the highest proportion of his sides’ goals in the Premier League this season (55%).
The Hammers have scored just nine goals in nine Premier League London derbies in 2014-15.
Matt Phillips has been involved in nine goals (two goals & seven assists) in his last nine PL appearances.
Merson's prediction
I think it’s a must-win game for QPR. You can turn the floodlights off if they don’t win this game. It’s their cup final. You can’t keep on going ‘oh, next week, next week’ – it has to be this week.
You look at West Ham and think ‘when are they ever going to win another football match?’ QPR were unlucky against Chelsea in their last game, so I’m going for a narrow home victory here
PAUL PREDICTS: 2-1 ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.])
ok, I'll take a stab at it...

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
I hate it when they call a foul for just playing the game - just because the keeper is involved...
hate to say it but that was not foul and QPR should have had the goal
we're totally shit by the way - but that will surprise no one

The good news so far is that with Palace losing, we won't drop a place if it all stays like it is...

xo ultimately, QPR have missed a penalty and had a perfectly good goal disallowed...
we're just running in circles and giving the ball away...

It's come to something when you're relieved not to lose to QPR. Roll on something different - at present it's like watching the PL equivalent of Dad's Army. Only four more potential embarrassments to go, thank God.

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
mostly happy with a draw and clean sheet, especially given the fact QPR had an early penalty and needed it more then us.
Sky football app said we looked dispirited. Other then bad form (2 win in 17) i'd like to know WHY we do. I think we are due an explanation.

I think that's the last thing we need next season in a season that we must not get relegated and start our first season in the OS in the championship.

Confession time since we got safe I have hardly watched us and I can't see me taking much notice until Sam is gone, I am bored to death with this football now, Mr Gold and Sullivan need to make the choice , maybe the most important they every have done in their lives this summer

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
okay... so what happened to Song? Not even on the bench (I have no idea where to look these days for injury news and stuff like that)
is it suspicious that he supposedly comes out this week and says he'd like a permanent move to us and doesn't even get picked?
And what do Amalfitano and Nene have to do to get a game in this team?
I mean... it's frightening to think we have to play worse before they get a chance...

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
I've very rarely watched them campo, not even MOTD 10 min 'highlights' these last couple of months. I did record MOTD last night however to see the pundits thoughts on us.
I hadn't heard that monkey, I'm sure your right though...got a link (is it creditable?) Its a strange one, i'd have snapped Song up for the first few months of the year, then he was linked to much bigger teams then us and now i'm not even sure I want us to fork putt on the fee (is he free?) or wages. Sums up our season really, from brilliant to indifferent to shite.

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
I read it on the West Ham News page on Facebook - so that's less realistic even than journalism... but it was generating plenty of responses in the "he'll need to buck his ideas up then" type responses.
I just didn't read anything about him being injured so despite him being crap (it doesn't keep anyone else out of the team) it was weird to see him not in the squad.
I don't get how you can have Noble, Nolan and Jarvis all being shit... and yet Amalfitano and Nene can't even get 15 minutes as a substitute.
Reece played pretty okay
Adrian kept us in the game
Other than that... they were all pretty pants.

Re: QPR vs West Ham April 24, 2015
And that's the key point. On current form we will be odd on for relegation next season. Doing nothing means no change so something has to be done.Arran H wrote:When do we know if we have qualified for Europa via fair play league ?
