    Blatter returned to power!!

Post  manurewa hammer on Sat 30 May 2015, 8:35 am

How the fupp did this happen after all that has gone down this week. A golden opportunity missed to get rid of the old prick.
I wonder how many bribes and brown envelopes were floating around to get this over the line! I'm Glad that NZ had the guts to vote against him.

Quite simple mate, look at where the majority of votes come from

    Africa: 54 votes
    Europe: 53 votes
    Asia and Australia: 46 votes
North and Central America: 35 votes
    Oceania: 11 votes
    South America: 10 votes

    Blatter needed 105 votes
with all the back handers and other 'presents' he pretty much has Asia and Africa sown up
Russia were 'given' the world cup , so he only needed to find 4 more votes
    easy done

I really do hope that the FBI can pin something on the fucker

seems a bit of a cunty thing to do... could have (should've) jumped before the latest election... but serving his own blinkered image of himself seems to be his only methodology...

Come on, the old crook can't just clear off at the end of the week, it's going to take a long time for him to try to cover up all the evidence leading back to his office. Time for another FBI raid, methinks, before the shredder is working overtime.

Accusations of fixed matches in the 2002 World Cup

Corriere dello Sport (of Italy), amongst others, claim that FIFA fixed matches to favour South Korea in the 2002 World Cup. Watching some of the footage of the 'robbery' that South Korea performed in multiple games provides very strong evidence for this view.

Jack Warner, former Fifa vice-president: 'I fear for my life'

Former Fifa vice-president Jack Warner made a televised address in which he said he feared for his life in the wake of the corruption investigation.

Speaking in Trinidad, he said he could link Fifa officials to the 2010 election in Trinidad and Tobago.

"I will no longer keep secrets for them who actively seek to destroy the country," he said.

The US has launched a wide-ranging criminal case that engulfed Fifa and led President Sepp Blatter to resign.

Mr Warner has been indicted by the US with corruption, a charge he strongly denies.

    guardian article

as uneasy as I am about agreeing with things in the Guardian, glad I'm not the only one who wishes Greg Dyke would just keep his mouth shut.

The Paddys took 5 million to not complain to much over froggy Henry's handball goal in the world cup qualifiers

This is one big can of worms being opened

the good thing is we're in safe hands because Blatter is overseeing the transition to a new and corruption-free FIFA

    Kumb's Suffolk Iron wrote:

Baldrick: "What I want to know, Sir, is, before there was a world Governing body for football there were lots of different types of Governing bodies that different countries used, and now there's only one Governing body that the countries use, and what I want to know is: how did we get from one state of affairs to the other state of affairs."

Blackadder: "Baldrick, do you mean: how did the FIFA start?"

    Baldrick: "Yes, Sir."

Blackadder: "Well, you see Baldrick, back in the 1904 there were many different countries all running their own football and using slightly different types of rules. On one side you had the major teams of England France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, and on the other, the weaker teams of Nigeria, Abyssinia, Kongo state, Japan, Argentina. They got together and decided that it would be much easier for everyone if they could all use the same rules, have one Central Administration Centre, and belong to one large club where everyone would be happy. This meant that there could never be a situation whereby financial meltdown would lead to social unrest, bribery, corruption and crises."

Baldrick: "But this is sort of a crisis, isn't it, Sir?"

Blackadder: "That's right, Baldrick. You see, there was only one slight flaw with the plan."

Baldrick: "What was that then, Sir?"

    Blackadder: "It was b*llocks Baldrick!"
