I only ask as it seems to get used less and less. We used to have some great discussions on here and the old planet forum, but its as empty as shite hart lane the day after Leicester won the league.
Has it run its course ? I personally prefer coming on here than discussing thing on fb, I dont necessarily want the world and his wife to see/hear some of my more passionate views which I feel I can vent here safely among people I trust considerably.
    Any thoughts views?

I have mentioned a few times that I find it disappointing to log on and hit the "View posts since last visit" and to be told "No posts match your search"

It would be a shame to let it fade and die (see what I did there?) but it is up to ALL of us and not just Geezer and Jiggs to keep it going

    Let's make more effort peeps

I don't think the forum has become obsolete just a little quiet. I look in most days but do not log in due to the fact of using my iPad most times. Just don't like writing with it which I'm doing now and making mistakes. Notice we had no Swansea match thread and felt I should have started one however once back from the game which I left early at was not in the mood to write anything. Will go in and put in the match thread so that we at least have a record of it.
Will try and make more effort.

Sorry about the last two Match threads, especially the most important "Last one at the Boleyn"
I've also been a bit lapse with predictor of late, although that's just due to life taking over at times.

The boss and me have tried to get new faces on here, which is what we need I think, to spice things up a bit. But Facebook is tough to compete against, especially now with the large amount of "West Ham Forums" added within.

Obviously, after this coming weekend and into the in between season break, things will slow down more, so it's a little early to try and recruit new members. I can do a Euro predictor if you're all interested. They take extra time with the games coming thick and fast! This and the transfer rumours should keep us afloat.

I'll phone the Guv at the weekend and see what he has to say. In the meantime, can you all maybe think of West Ham fanatics that you know of who would be interested. Also anything you think would give this place a face-lift.

    Ta xx

I'm not sure where to vote - has the poll finished or am I just thick? Anyway I would have said "don't know"
I wouldn't like to see it go under as it's the only Hammers site of pleasure for an away fan, but having said that I feel that the hard core group of regular weekly+ posters should be rather bigger, otherwise when a handful are away - as it will always be; exams, work, family, argument with the wife, you have it - there would still be a contributing 'core'.
In any fan site 90% plus of signed up don't post. On RR we've got 800 members in theory but only about 25-30 are regulars. But that's still useful activity ...
think you need to pester more people to look in and sign up though words are easy I know

I don't always post anything on here but I always make a habit off coming on here to have a read etc daily , This is one of the most friendliest forums I`m a member off so would be a shame if it disappeared.

I'm a pretty infrequent visitor at the moment, which I suppose has more to do with the comparison to what was there back in the "old days" when the original board was a hotbed of activity ranging from the informed (Tony P, Mambo, Stavy etc) to the inane (that would be mostly me).

Brendan Behan observed that the first item on the agenda at the inaugural meeting of an Irish institution woud be the split and I guess it was inevitable that it would happen on an internet forum but there is no doubt it has had an effect on both boards. For me, the old forum represented an oppurtunity to engage with the life spirit of the club I supported as a kid. Players come and go, but fans stay and it is the interaction with them that re-inforces the connection. If not for the forum I would have not met some of the people on here, including the originator of this thread with whom I shared a few pints in a Cork pub (before anyone starts, that's a pub in Cork and not made of cork!) not so long ago.

To me the forum is like my old house. I don't visit there as often as I should but I'm always glad that I did.

I genuinely hope things pick up here.

No new posts in 5 days; new European Champions, Andy Murray wins Wimbledon and therefore remains British, West Ham make two signings, West Ham rumoured to be willing to pay £30m for a 29 year old but won't pay him more than £65k a week, Payet is worth a £100m million and "he ain't leaving even if he wants to" - yeah right Sullivan, as if players don't have the power these days.

Couldn't give a toss about the  mardy jock, euros were tosh, only have to see who one it (Engerland were even tosher or tossers) all our signings so far have been squad players, Sullivan talks out of his arse and believes must of the  crud he spouts. We can't  even beat American teams, not even those from thier lower league. Normal service has been resumed in tbe wonderful wacky world of following the mighty irons.

Can see a relegation battle ahead unless we can strengthen (especially up front) we're all doomed I say,  doomed Is the forum becoming obsolete? 1803945174

There I was having a good rest and sleep in the last 5 days and someone has to start shouting.
Rumour has it we might be spending some money on a forward, midfield, defender and goalkeeper.
Getting ready for my holidays now, don't think I will miss start of season but if I do I'I have the same numbers in the predictor as mottinghammer. Someone said he's quite good.

I'm back and very sorry I went away. Also post on the other forum (Bruno's) and kumb and with other things le tthis one slip.

I would rather post on here then kumb, but just find there to be so much more activity and information...particularly about the OS prior to the move.

The people, on there...hmmmmm...I'd rather you lot by the distance of a payet free kick at old Trafford... Is the forum becoming obsolete? 1518089606

Time for everyone to make an effort then . I know I have been absent but I,m gradually getting back into the swing of things . One project is to design a new Forum skin , spice things up a bit . Its been a while so be patient , everyone will be able to comment on the gradual changes but we have to think outside the box . We still have some very informative people here that are season ticket holders or club members or one offs now and again , which reminds me I must get over next season , need a bed for a night or two , dont all stick your hand up at once . Gonna try more and integrate our forum with Shitbook , any advertising is good advertising . Stick with the forum peeps  hatsoff
