    West Brom v West Ham

Post  Charlie Ham on Fri 16 Sep 2016, 5:08 pm

Like to see a few changes tomorrow but suspect only one with Collins being dropped.
Someone in centre midfield needs to cover the back four and the fullbacks need to be carefull when going forward.
Important game tomorrow, lose and we could be in the bottom 3. I'm going for a win.

A fupping joke!!!! Collins just needs to fupp off for a while.....Our defence is utter pathetic! I cannot remember a worse defence than what we have now, all those bloody midfielders we bought in the summer did anyone not think that we needed some reliable fupping DEFENDERS!!!!!

I knew as soon as Tomkins left for Palace in the Summer I knew we would be in trouble if we didn't go out and replace him.

As a Fan I know it`s just the way we think but Next Sunday against Southampton I know it would be a risk but I`d like us to start some of the Youngsters such as Oxford , Martinez ( who is on fire at the moment in the reserves ) Browne etc at least these players will have a lot of fight in them as they will want to prove themselves to Slav - They can`t do any worse then what we doing at the moment.

My team for Sunday against Southampton would be 4-4-2
    Adrian
    Byram
    Reid
    Oxford
    Masuaku
    Payet
    Noble
    Lanzini
    Antonio
    Fletcher
    Martinez

Looks like being a very long season for us.
At the moment any team can score against us, anyone.
Just hope we stay in the Prem.

Just tortured myself by watching the goals.

The first is just an absolute calamity from Masuaku

The second Ogbonna trying to clear from the left back position deflects into the path of one of their players who finds Rondon with Collins not really tight enough and for the second game running the ball goes through Collins legs and leaving Adrain with no chance.

The third was an absolute embarrassment, we were marking defending a corner the ball deflects to a player on the edge of the box who fires it towards goal Ogbonna, Noble, Kouyate, Nordveit, Zaza, Lanzini and Antonio all in the box but not one of them marking a West Brom shirt leaving McClean to deflect in.

The 4th Masuaka gives the ball away from our corner with nobody left marking......shambolic organisation.

Just seen Alan Shearer highlight that 4th goal from our corner, we had 10 players in the last 3rd !!!!!!!!!!!

I believe our luck of defending is down to a coaching problem.
Bilic needs to get his finger out.

I'm disappointed that Bilic, being the decent centre half that he was, didn't look at how we conceded goals last season. Seeing that Collins, Reid, Ogbonna and Tomkins struggled with consistency and leadership when they played, instead of the club shouting their mouths off about spending shit loads of money on a goal scorer they may have spent a bit of money on a rock to hold the defence together.

Yep, well said Darran and what about Dicks?  Is he still employed as our first team coach?

Masuaku is now out for 6 weeks ..... don't know if that's a good or bad thing.  During the game I was screaming for him to be replaced with no-one!

I guess With Cresswell and Masuaku both now out Injured , Slav will now start Ogbonna at Left back and bring Reid and Collins back in defence together.
My back Five for the Southampton game would be : Adrian in Goal With Arbeloa at Right back with Collins and Reid in the Centre with Ogbonna at Left Back - That to me is a decent back four/five to have BUT we all know Slav will now start Antonio at Right Back and Arbeloa at Left Back in Typical Slavan thinking !

Dicks has the erroneous job title of assistant coach, not even a full coach. I viewed it then as an appeasement to the fans. That's not to say he doesn't have an input but I feel it is a 'carrying out the coaching staff's instructions ' more.

Julian Dicks has no coaching qualifications whatsoever. He is, as you rightly say, there purely to appease the fans

I sincerely hope he is not coaching the defence as they have been hopeless since Xmas
