20 minutes gone... we looked brighter at the start but have let Swansea back into things recently.

both sides playing two up front

Chicharito has scored more this season than the whole Swansea team so logic suggests Swansea willl score a boatload today.

Noble is in the team - guess there's maybe no other players in england this weekend

Swans have a free kick down by the corner flag.

Why does Hart so often parry or punch the ball instead of catching and/or holding?

Both sides are also playing a Carroll and an Ayew...

    anything for three points please.

first half just about up... very boring and frustrating

the only real positive is that we're not losing...

upped the tempo a bit to start the 2nd half... only result so far is a yellow card for Kayoute...

boos accompanying the play at the moment...

boos for Ayew dribbling himself into trouble in the 6 yard box instead of passing or crossing...

boos for a back pass to Hart from the midfield...

cheers as Noble gets taken off and Lanzini comes on...

horrible horrible "pass" from Ayew... killed a dashing forward movement stone dead in its tracks...

I think a lot of people forget just how completely shit Ayew is

Carroll kinda knees the ball and it loops off the post/bar... almost something out of nothing... but we don't look good.

Chicharito looks very unhappy to have been subbed and very unhappy to be part of this crap...

    and there you have it...

    Sahko

slams the ball into the back of the net from inside the 6 yard box after a run and cross from Massuako...

that's 90 minutes... 5 of added time to come.

    well it's West Ham...

we got 3 points, we're out of the bottom 3

Masuaka and Sakho linked up well.

Carroll had a few decent touches

we were competitive for the first ten or so minutes n each half...

    those are positives.

but we played poorly for large portions of the game

we were second best against poor team when playing at home

we needed substitutions to turn the game around - meaning our initial tactics and selections weren't working

Chicharito looked vey unhappy at coming off

we were poor enough to get booed at several points throughout the game...

I dunno... been on this merry-go-round for so long... none of this seems particularly new, exciting, different, inspiring or particularly hopeless...

If you're looking for reasons to get rid of the owners and bilic - there was plenty on display to give you ammunition.

If you're looking to stand by the status quo - there's some (but a lot less) that you could point to.

the other thing I meant to say was... some people online were calling this game "absolute garbage" one even described it as "worst I've seen us play in my 28 years" -- so there's an awful lot of bullshit flying around.

it certainly wasn't vintage... wasn't even good, entertaining or enjoyable... but we've been way, way worsen living memory.

we've played better and lost and played way worse and won...

    but that's football.

Well having seen it the only good thing from this game was the 3 points.
    Tactics were bad.

Can't see Super Slav keeping his job much longer, some money has been spent, certainly on paper better players have come in than last year but no real improvements in style of play or results. Our next few games will define our season and his tenure as they are winnable, if we're not in the top half by November he'll be gone and we will be in another relegation fight (only good thing is CP seem determined to go down with 0 points so only two places to worry about!)
