So here we go... the latest in our season of 'must-win' games...

Obviously, Carroll is injured... how the fupp? I dunno... getting out of bed, putting on his trousers... what-the-fupp-ever...

    but he's on the bench...

    ex-squeeze-me???

    Is he injured or not?

but anyway... apparently Arnautovic is injured as well and not even in the squad...

So no Arnie... Noble plays from the start... Moyes is forced to play his least favorite striker of all time... Chicharito...

Declan Rice gets to play from the beginning...

6 minutes and 18 seconds gone and it's been pretty much non-stop Spurs attacks... we've not been out of our half yet...

Spuds manager Pocche-whatyacallhim... has never lost against Moyes...

will this be a case of West Ham always reversing the current trend or a case of West Ham never reversing the trend when it'll go against us?

    11 minutes...

we had a free kick...sailed over everyone's heads and went out...

more Spuds pressure... but a long ball just over shoots Lanzini...

Ball in the net for the Spuds... but whistled offside...

would be great to be competing in this... but it's not happening...

halfway thru the first half... we've been out of hour half three... now 4 times and one of those was when Spuds decided to pass it backwards... and twice was for long balls to no one...

actually, we just had an attack... Chicharito got to the byline and crossed the ball but of course there's no one else from our side within 6 miles of the fupping goal so it just goes back to Spuds...

pointless fupping tactics... just sit back and hope the better team doesn't score through relentless pressure...

when will people realize that unless you have a rock solid defense and 11 players who will just get stuck in... this never works...

sorry for the radio silence... pooch has a dodgy tummy so had to go out for a potty walk...

well we made it to half time... pretty much zero to write home about.

I hate these tactics... we never do well with them.

We need to battle - attack

Spuds don't look great... yes, they look better than us... but there's no reason not to have a go...

    2nd half... no changes...

ball played right past Masuaku... Noble puts in a good tackle...

Masuaku is looking tired... Kayoute looks off the pace...

    Rice is looking good

no one is looking outstanding... Masuaku collects the ball on the touchline and it skitters out of play between his legs...

    more Spuds possession

Noble demonstrates exactly what the captain's role is a game is...

running around with your hands in the air pleading for a foul to be given while play goes on without you...

fortunately when Song runs into the hole in the defense left by Noble, he messes up his shot and someone else steps in to get in the way.

anyone who thinks this is 'tactical genius' football needs to do something involving somehting...

we've escaped for an hour... it's not fun to watch... it's not inspiring... we're also not in a position where a point is of any real worth

    substitution in the offing...

    Ayew gonna replace Hernandez...

so that'll be one isolated short arse striker on for another... yeah... that'll work

    That was fupping awesome

Obiang takes our first shot on target from about 25 yards out...

Slams a shot through two Spuds layers... straight into the top corner past a diving keeper...

of course it would be churlish of me to point out that Noble left the player in acres of space... refused to close him down at all and then turned his back when Song took the shot...

what the fupp is the point of doing nothing but defending if you don't fupping defend...

and it's all over... what does a point give us?

    nothing really.

I'll certainly take a point over none...

    two cracking goals...

just a shame that it really was a moment of utter bullshit by noble that lead to the goal...

it's interesting... watching the games, feeling rather than thinking... it certainly seems like there's a difference... and Facebook is full of plonkers saying 'moyes is great' 'the club should up his contract already'... so I thought I'd take a butchers...

He's been in charge for 12 games.

    His stats...

    W - 3
    L - 5
    D - 4

So I thought... hmm... not looking so good... certainly not what you'd have expected if you'd asked me to guess what the outcome of those 12 games were... and those three victories weren't back to back and to be honest we only beat WBA because they were knackered and ran out of gas in the final 15 minutes but had looked good for a draw or to beat us up till that point.

So I looked at Bilic's final 12 games... and I know everyone says... Bilic had lost the dressing room... wasn't getting the team to train properly... moyes has come in and switched things around... improved discipline, etc...

But it's not the worst comparison because it's the same bunch of players... Moyes hasn't had the chance to buy anyone yet... it's the same team so any changes in performance or discipline or fitness would surely show in the results..

    So here's Bilic's final 12 games...

    W - 5
    L - 4
    D - 3

And that form (along with a year or more of the same) got Bilic the sack...

If you look at stats... Moyes win percentage with us is actually the 2nd worst of his career - second only to his hopeless last stint in europe.

So yeah... I'll state my bias up front... don't like Moyes, never have, never wanted him at West Ham and would be happy to drop him off at the bus or train station myself...

But... even cynical old moi was surprised at those numbers... I wasn't expecting them to shape out the way they did.

Because it does "feel" like there's been an improvement... but results don't lie.

My thoughts are, it's still way too early to really judge Moyes at all.

His results if they continue as they are will get us relegated. Hopefully the transfer window will give us the chance to bring in someone(S) who might help out and maybe get rid of some of the shite we've been carrying for so long now.

As things stand there's three teams that could leap frog us if they win their next game and we lose or draw to Huddersfield. So even without losing, we could be 2nd from bottom in a week's time...

These are not comfortable times and I hope they get better sooner rather than later.
