well... after fupping up royally at the Palace last time out...with the benefit of the international break to get our shit together...

yup... it's exactly what you'd expect...

Everton... bottom 3... on their second worst run in a decade... with a manager under threat of losing his job... a 'must win' game....
    so what do we do?

honestly... after a 2nd minute free kick... absolutely nothing.

From that free kick is was over 40 minutes before we actually had a touch of the ball in the Everton area...

Everton had only scored once in their last 51 shots on goal... but of course... we have Roberto in goal.

toothless Everton... dance through the defense... Roberto goes down but too slow to stop the ball sliding underneath him and into the back of the net...

exactly the kind of shot that would never have gotten past Fabianski in a million years...

after the free kick our passing got shorter, or longer... whichever proved to be the most inaccurate... we dropped off the pace, stopping pressing...

gave Everton space... let them feel like they could beat us...

Masuaku plays stead of Cresswell, Fornals instead of Yarmo...

we've just bee awful... ok for 4 minutes then pretty much gave up.

Rice and Noble are not strong enough to hold a midfield... the forwards look like they've never met

I'm too scared to even look up the possession its...

2nd half if less than minute old and Everton have the ball in the net - but it's ruled offside...

    why?

why not just put us out of our misery...

we could have been third in the table a few games back, now we're being schooled by relegation teams.

Yarmolenko starts the 2nd half... probably in place of Fornals... but who really cares...

we would have been 2-0 in the first half as minutes after the goal, Roberto lost the ball in exactly the same way, diving to his left and allowing the shot to go under his body - but the 2nd time it hit the post.

to make all this more annoying and to explain why I ws too tired to type anything before now... we're the early kick off... so it's a mind numbingly early kick off over here... only the change to mountain time makes it the slightly less insane, 5:30am on a saturday morning...

well fornals is still on the pitch, so either we're playing with 12 men or someone else went off in lace...

Yarmo plays a ball into the box, fronts pyulls his shot wide... but at least we were a: in the Everton half and b: managed a shot almost on target...

The fans have been in good voice as always... but then they have nothing to do but sing because there's precious little football to watch.

piss poor clearance from Roberto gives the bar straight back to Everton who are all over us at the beginning of half number 2.

everyone seemed pleased that we shat the bed against Oxford in the League Cup so we could "concentrate on the league - so what exactly is the excuse for shitting be bed so massively in the league at the moment?
what are we having ourselves or? an exciting relegation struggle in the new year?

wow... i's anderson who's been taken off.

he might be a lasy shit... but he's also one of the only chances we have to pull something out of our arses...

seems like just another weekend "must lose" game for the boys in claret and blue...

at least the fans are in good voice... the west ham contingent easily out singing the home fans...

nothing to report... Eveto becoming more nd more dominant...

we're so clueless, we're bringing on Wilshire...

    fornals now comes off...

yet gain Noble outlasts way better players... but no one has shown anything today other than a desire for a cup of tea and a nice bath.

65 minutes of play over... the sun is barely lighting the sky here in New Mexico... two days and I can go home to L.A.

We have a free kick in what any other team would consider a great position... but we did bugger all in the first five minutes... can't see it changing here.

Yarmo's shot is at least on target... but straight into the keeper's hands...

18 minutes left in the weekly debacle...

Ajeti is lining u a premier league debut...

finally Noble makes way for someone

Noble couldn't go forward down a one way street... c'mon... it's barely even daybreak here...

    we have a free kick...

I can't even say we 'win' a free kick because we look so unlikely to win anything...

wow Roberto actually DID keep us in the game (that we're going to lose)

1 on 1 in the box... Roberto saves from pint blank...

Everton get their 0th order... header into the back of the net but the whistle went for some reason or other...

    78 minutes gone...

and there you have it... Siggurdson comes on as a sub... forces a save with his first shot... then slams in a winner in the 2nd minute of injury time.

It's absolutely nothing less than we deserve...

    fupping abysmal performance...

Some may disagree some agree with me on my point I`m about to make regarding our last 3 games....

I personally think we are and have missed having Fabianski`s carm presence in Goal the last few games.I don`t think the team feels comfortable with Roberto being in goal etc.
To be honest for the Sheffield United game if I was Pellagrini I would give Martin a chance in Goal - Maybe he will have a better vocal and commanding presence at the back.

we completely miss Fabianski... no question of that. Roberto was completely at fault for letting in the first goal... the fact that we are then so piss poor that he was being called the man of the match just shows how pitiful we were as a team...

the bigger question is whether we miss Fabianski so much because he's a solid, calming presence at the back that gives confidence to the entire team...

    or...

whether we're just so shit that we rely on a good keeper to stop us being stuffed 5-0 every week.

I`d say it`s the first reason and that the team miss his presence at the back,It shouldn`t but it clearly does affect the way we play not having Fab in goal.
