The State of West Ham Empty The State of West Ham

so they published the accounts and the press is having a right old lard at our expense...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

    here's some highlights...

"West Ham United say staying in the Premier League is "an absolute necessity" after posting financial losses of £27.26m."

"Despite spending more than £130m on transfers, and £214.4m in the last four years, they are only above the Premier League drop zone on goal difference."

"Sullivan says in 2018-19, £107.9m was spent on transfer fees, whilst the first-team squad and management accounted for wages of £135.8m. The club spent £4m on developing their Rush Green training ground and £600,000 setting up their women's team, which now competes in the WSL."

"West Ham currently pay just over £3m in rent to use the London Stadium, although it is understood this figure will halve if they get relegated to the Championship."

    this is the kicker...

"Ironically, these statements, along with an expansive note from joint owner David Sullivan, were written in October, when the club was pushing for a place in the top four."

What payments have David Sullivan and David Gold taken from the Club?
    {Questions and answers by Gold and Sullivan of course}
    Sorry, but you've gotta laugh...….

The major shareholders have not and have never taken a dividend from the Club.    rofl smiley
They do not take a salary or expenses from the Club.  rofl smiley

The payments referred to in the Accounts are related to accrued interest on shareholder loans made to the Club to reduce third party debt and its cost to the Club. rofl smiley
The loans aided the Clubs long term stability.   rofl smiley
There was also a shareholder loan partial repayment to one of David Gold’s commercial interests. rofl smiley

The Shareholder loans were previously all technically repayable on 1 January 2020, this repayment date has been deferred to 1 January 2024. rofl smiley

Due to accrued interest on shareholder loans I believe.....8 fupping % otherwise the loans would have been cleared long ago...…just shut up and fupp off you parasites angry2

apologies... 7 managers (including the 2nd stint of M*yes and 1 caretaker)

    results in those ten years....

    ManagerTime:GamesWinsDrawsLosesWin Percentage
    Avram Grant2010-20114715122031.91
    Kevin Keen*201110010.0
    Sam Allardyce2011-201518169456738.12
    Slaven Bilic2015-201711142303937.84
    David Moyes2017-2018319101229.03
    Manuel Pelligrini2018-2019512292043.14
    * caretaker manager

and just for laughs, here's McCunty's current stats...

    ManagerTime:GamesWinsDrawsLosesWin Percentage
    David M*yes2020-Present721428.6

and he's done it... M*yes current win percentage is actually worse than the last time he was here and worse than Gianfranco Zola's... making M*yes the LEAST winning manager in West Ham history.

and M*yes is the only manager in the past decade who has lost more games than he's won (and that's in BOTH his stints)

Please.... anyone... anyone who thinks M*yes is a good choice of manager... just explain those numbers to me.

If it means ridding us of the Dildo Bros, then perhaps it will ultimately be worth it.

skimming the messageboards and social media... I'm seeing this sentiment becoming more and more prevalent.

this is the ultimate sadness of the current predicament we find ourselves in... people are just giving up... like facing the inevitability of your mortality as the plane you're in hurtles to the ground, or as a bunch of terrorists lock the doors and point their weapons at you...

we're just not getting out of here...

the cruelest thing the gods every did was give humanity hope... it's the one thing that keeps you going even when every other instinct or evidence points to a single conclusion...

in 'Pulp Fiction' the famous Marcelus Wallace quote is "that's pride... fuckin' with ya." - but honestly... it's not pride... it's hope... the hope that you're better than everyone else who has failed to overcome the obstacles your faced with... the hope that you can stem the tide, turn the tables, beat the odds...

and now the owners... players... and manager have all conspired to take away the one thing that kept everyone going, the one thing found at the bottom of that box that became trapped inside when Pandora slammed the lid shut...

now there is no interest, no emotion because the hope has gone.

Charlie feels it. I've read a whole bunch of other people saying exactly the same thing. I said exactly the same thing somewhere on these very boards after M*yes was re-hired.

    That's what's happened.
    That's where we are.
That's what they've done to us.

P.S. welcome back Cochese, good to see you.

this feels like a good commentary on the state of the club... I mean... but I'm kinda split... it feels a little disingenuous to be a club volunteer just to launch a stealth attack...

but in the interests of fairness, it's not like the fans are completely innocent when it comes to tarnishing the image of the club...

Don't mind "Red Ball" but have a big question mark concerning the other fellow.
