5 minutes of half two gone by and it's been all Arsenal... very little end product and nothing to show for it but we could do with stepping up just a little...

Re: Arsenal vs WHUFC -- March 7th, 2020
good save from Fabianski but it leaves the goal yawning... fortunately the defense clears the ball and we get away with it...
we really do need to pick up the pace a bit, apply some pressure...

oooh... Antonio heads past the keeper but a quick outstretched hand saves the goal...
more of that please...
it's livened up the ground at least.

If it were up to me, I'd look at binging off Noble and Fornals...
replace them with Snoddy and Anderson
get some fresh legs and faces out there to spice it up a bit...

BBC possession stats show it as 76-24 in favor of Arsenal...
didn't feel like that in the first half but it's definitely been Arsenal with the majority of play in the first 15 of the second.

bit of a pinball scramble in and around the Arsenal box... we try manfully but get nothing but a throw-in...

Re: Arsenal vs WHUFC -- March 7th, 2020
Bowen goes on a long run towards goal... from the halfway line you could tell he's never going to pass in a million years... he thinks that makes him a dynamic forward but it just makes him selfish and wasteful...
Antonio knows this and so doesn't bother running into the box, which would have been nice because the keeper pislls Bowen's long range shot... but you know...
could told you...

Re: Arsenal vs WHUFC -- March 7th, 2020
good chance for us but it ends in a weak shot into the ground which the keeper easily catches...
the clock is ticking... time is running out... we got to take our chances.
props today to Ogbonna and Diop - been very solid in the middle of the defense.
not sure hwy M*yes leaves his subs till so late in the game... we need fresh legs out there now...
Fornals has had too quiet a game and Noble will/is getting tired...
there's 14 minutes to go... why wait?

Lacazette gets the ball in the net but fortunately the awesome Lady Lino flags him for offside...
Laca was a sub... fresh legs...
VAR is having a butchers...

Re: Arsenal vs WHUFC -- March 7th, 2020
yup... VAR tules it a goal...
the first error in defense and it costs us... possible - probably - the game
M*yes just stands there looking glum with his arms folded... shouldn't he be geeing up the players.. keeping them focussed... putting on some fresh legs... ??????
what a useless minge
9 minutes left to now salvage this...
oh look...
Noble is now on the bench... ten minutes too late but Soucek is on to show what he can do.

Haller goes close twice in succession
the second substitution I recommended takes place but on 86 minutes it's a little after the Lord Mayor's show...

Re: Arsenal vs WHUFC -- March 7th, 2020
Here's the BBC's thoughts...
"What have West Ham got to do to score today?
That's another really good chance with their first attack of the second half.
Aaron Cresswell does well initially, racing down the left and putting the ball into the mixer before Sebastien Haller's deft flick presents Michail Antonio with a headed chance seven yards out.
Bernd Leno brilliantly palms that away though."
it'll go back to exactly where it was in the table... three teams on the same points, us out of the relegation zone by goal difference only...
sheesh... three points wold have been golden today... even a single would have added a tiny bit of cushion...
and Bowen comes off... Snoddy replaces him on 89 and a half minutes... what the fupp is the point of that... it's not like we're trying to waste time.
fupp this manager...

even Newcastle have found a way past the ten men for Southampton... this three points could be very very costly come the end of the season.

I guess if the corona virus pandemic continues, we might have time to get Yarmolenko back... but still not convinced we have a team that can dig themselves out of this hole no matter who is fit...
