    West Ham starting 11 -

Green, O'Brien, Samuel, Tomkins, Reid, Faubert, Taylor, Noble, Parker, Nolan, Piquionne. Looks like 4-5-1/4-3-3 to me

Subs: Boffin, Ilunga, Spence, Nouble, Sears, Collison, Cole, Montano, Stanislas, Barrera

24 mins - GOAL! Taylor! That'll do very nicely. West Ham keep up the pressure and Tomkins picks out Nolan's head with a long ball. He nods it down to Parker, whose first touch is superb and he bursts past two defenders and into the penalty area. He could shoot himself, but the Hammer of the Year instead squares and Taylor taps in from about five yards.

39 mins Barrera on for Faubert (injury)

52 mins Spence on for O'Brien (tactical)

63 mins - Parker is replaced by Cole

71 mins - Two more changes for the Hammers. Taylor and Piquionne head off to be replaced by Sears and Nouble

79 mins - Montano is on for trialist Samuel. It looks like Montano will play the remaining minutes at left back

89 mins - GOAL! Sears! Barrera picks up possession inside the Zaragoza half, jinks past one man and then picks out Sears. He looks up and picks his spot, smashing an unstoppable drive low past Leo Franco and into the bottom left-hand corner. Noble is replaced by Junior Stanislas before the restart

92 mins - That's full-time. West Ham more than deserved their victory this afternoon. That was a professional display capped by two fine goals and some standout performances.

Yes!! Barrera finds Sears, who scores! Just excellent. I was hoping for Barrera to get his breakthrough and of course also that Sears could continue his good form. Great stuff! WH Flag

Only a friendly but................ 2-0 against a spanish top division side. No goals conceded in four games, and we have beaten a champions league side away from home as well. Apart from Faye no injuries worth talking about, lets just hope they can take it forward next week and turn it on against the sheepsha**ers. WH Flag

Zaragoza sounded a bit ragged as they are a couple of weeks behind us in pre season but still a good confidence building result. Green gets another 90 minutes. Please let him stay!! Great reception for Scotty when he went off. And for Taylor. At last we have a set piece specialist.

Funny day for me. First game back at UP and also first game as a deaf man. My deafness came about last August and is completely nothing; I have found it so easy to adjust-until today. It was very weird not beig able to hear the atmosphere, or even feel it (though not surprising on the later as the ground was nigh on empty.

We seemed to have the first half wrapped up-one goal and I cannot comment on it as the peelers are shite now days especially with summer hayfever. Suffice to say-I was at the opposite end of the pitch in the STB as we were attacking the BM. So I was looking forward to some action in the 2nd half. Sadly, we hardly had the ball in their half and lacked any continuity in play and possession (some would say the real WHU way!!!). Cole did get a shot which disproved Newton's theory of gravity and most other of Newton's laws!!

The second goal was nicely moved and executed though.

Joey No Brain looked good at RB in the first half.

Good result that flatters the performance I would say all in all-still, just a friendly. No sign of FSA notorious style of football, sometimes wished there was-a more direct game plan at times would suit us methinks mostly.

Glad I made it back, as I said-was very odd for me personally in a way I wasn't expecting.

Staff and stewards were great-often unnoticed or berrated; they were helpful to this spaz!

    And I had a beer-£3.80

Glad you had a good time dude.

not a joke about your deafness but I read somewhere that the attendance was so low they didnt even bother announcing it.
