It was pretty scrappy until we scored. Then two goals in as many minutes meant we should have been comfortable, but as usual we took our foot off the gas and stopped doing the basics. Couldn't keep possession, stopped closing down and (mainly due to Nolan's laziness) gave them the run of the centre of the park. Baldock was excellent as were the back four. Noble was excellent throughout

Carew and Baldock were linking up brilliantly until - due to the poor referee - BFS erred on the side of caution and took Carew off as he had been booked for doing absolutely nothing. Leicester players just fell on the floor any time Carew came near them. Also Piquionne did ok when he came on. Worked no more or less hard than Carew did when he was on. Don't listen to boo-boys who were not at the game dude. They have probably conveniently forgotten (or did not see) him chase back the whole length of the pitch to make a tackle when Faubert got caught forward and was ambling back ! Great flick-on for our third goalLike I said, a hard fought game that should have been so much easier once we were 2-0 and 3-1 up. But it wouldn't be West Ham if we did not give the supporters the jitters would it?

How can you stick up for Piquionne ? He is usless and when carew come off and he came on we didnt seem to be that much off a threat apart from when Baldock got his 2nd , Cole works harder then Piquionne and thats saying something , I just hope cole is fit for tuesday game so that we have ether him or Carew on the bench instead of Piquionne so at least we have a decent striker who can score come on if we cant score on tuesday ! Smile

    I rest my case m'lud

So When Carew was on the pitch we were a massive threat yet when piquionne come we had two chances in the time he was on the pitch which was a lot longer one of which ended up as a goal. I reckon we would score loads more had the reff not been a , As carew was causing problems everytime the ball went near their area ! .

What Tony said although I dont agree about Piquionne. The only time he made an effort we scored.

See you in the Supps Club tomorrow?
