here we go again... WTF... yeah... WTF...

any guesses as to what will happen?

I've no idea... so I'm gonna steal Arran's idea for the potential line-up as a starting point...

My (Arran's) team for the Burnley game would be in a 4-4-2 formation:

Roberto - there's been some talk of giving Martin a shot... not totally against that idea.
Federicks - agreed, bring him back
Diop - been one of the few solid players even during this nightmare
Ogbonna - please, at least to head corners...
Masuaku - without antonio, we need someone with some pace
Snodgrass - earned a starting place at least
Rice - yup but give him some support in midfield
Noble(c) - no... no... please... just no.
Yarmolenko - sure... why not, it's not like we have much choice
Ajeti - I guess... I mean, what's he ever done, who is he?
Haller - on the fence with this one... he's done fupp all recently but he gets no service so if he continues to do fupp all even with service then ship him out.

no daylight savings to give me the extra time n bed... so 7am... here I come.

Here's some shitty perspective form the BBC:

    West Ham United

West Ham are winless in five league games (D2, L3). It's their worst run since an eight-match streak between October and December 2017.
They have managed only three victories in their past 25 league matches played in the month of November (D10, L12).
Robert Snodgrass is vying to become the first West Ham player to score in three successive league matches since Marko Arnautovic in December 2017.
Felipe Anderson has scored with just one of his last 16 shots on target, having found the net with eight of his previous 16 attempts.

players are in the tunnel heading out onto the pitch... a melange of claret and blue - which is always confusing when we're not the claret & blue team...

handshakes... Burnley have lost three on the spin... so nothing better than the gift that keeps on giving... i.e. West Ham coming to visit...

    We are...

    Roberto...
    Fredericks
    Blabuena
    Diop
    Cresswell
    Rice
    Noble
    Fornals
    Anderson
    Soddy
    Haller

Hmmmm.... pretty much what you'd expect... it'll all come down to attitude.

    Doing the poppy silence bit...

"“How can Roberto guy start another game for West Ham?” asks a despairing Michael Allan via email. “He will cost them the game again today just like the last two weeks!” You may very well be right, Michael, but I suspect the answer to your question is that the third-choice keeper is [checks notes] David Martin, whose career highlights involve four years at Liverpool (zero appearances) and 11 outings across two seasons at Millwall. But Roberto certainly has something of a reputation to salvage in wake of his recent displays. Buena suerte, amigo."

pretty typical... totally fail to answer the question... why IS Roberto playing?

we kick started Burnley' season last year...

Fornals runs onto a nice ball but his cross sails across the box and the two players who can'r reach it... there's no third player on the far side so we lose possession...

noble in typical form runs into the back of a Burnley player, pushes him over and concedes a free kick.

Comms talks up Noble's importance in the dressing room... unless he does a lot of cleaning then his contribution is pretty negligible in the dressing room or out on the pitch...
if he's so good at routing the troops... how come we play with such a lack of effort, enthusiasm and passion?
i hear 'noble turns into trouble' as I'm typing the above...

    corner goes nowhere...

Fredericks saves us on the next attack with a header ahead of the attacking player...

10 minutes on the clock and Burnley get another corner (although it looked clearly like the ball came off a Burnley player... no VAR for that apparently)

We all decide to plat statues... or fupping idiots... take your pick...

Ball goes to the far post... Burnley head back in to a player totally unmarked in the 6 yard box who toe pokes it into the net...

    here we go... 0-1

Here's the BBC versionn of events...

    Goal! Burnley 1-0 West Ham

We mentioned West Ham’s dodgy keeper Roberto before that game – or rather, Michael Allen did – and sure enough, it’s taken just the 12 minutes for him to cost his side a goal. A flap from a corner leads to Ashley Barnes tapping in. Get well soon, Łukasz Fabiański.

Comms is saying the corner was clearly the wrong decision... it was... but none of it excuses why we're behind or such a shitshow...

aww bless him... Noble has hurt his foot falling over a Burnley player...

it's a free kick to Burnley because... well... because Noble always does that kind of thing.

ooh... long range stinger goes straight at Roberto... so he actually saves it.

Yarmolenko is coming on for noble...

maybe Snoddy will drop back to help Rice in midfield...

again... comms rattles on about us not just losing a player but losing a leader....

when will people stop this nonsense?

If Noble is such a good leader... how come we play with no passion, ho effort, no nothing? That's the kind of leader we can do without.

    Are people just blind????

is the poppy emblem on all the players' shirts a stick on thing or a permanent thing?

if it's a stick on it sticks on very well...

if it's a permanent thing, do all the clubs have to fork out for a special team strip just for November?

The BBC is as ever, depressingly accurate...

    22 mins It's all Burnley,

    21 mins Burnley keep pressing,

I was gonna say there's absolutely nothing to write about... but Fredericks uses his pace (note to other Hammers) and we have a corner...

Burnley get to it first... and - and that's about it...

32 minutes gone... Ref has stopped play for some reason... perhaps to see if West Ham really want to play any part in this game or if he should just call the whole thing off right now.

we really are showing zero improvement from the previous weeks...

Spurs and Chelsea should roll us easily in the next couple of games...

and just to prove my point... Burnley score again

    cross from the ing...

Haller makes a pitiful attempt to block it...

Diop jumps but fails to get to the bsll so it falls perfectly to the attacking Burnley player who is never going to miss from 6 adds out...

probably quite rightly... but you know what? The goal should stand... we are shit... no amount of being saved by he faceless officials should be allowed to cover up just how pathetic we are as a team...

The Guardian: Goal at Burnley! Chris Woods meet a glorious cross with an equally glorious header to double the host lead. Nope: VAR rules it out. Offside.

    The BBC: DISALLOWED GOAL
    Burnley 1-0 West Ham
Yes he is! Just inches in it - scant reward for a superb header from McNeil's great cross.

    Video Assistant Referee
Chris Wood nets with a header, but is it offside?

I can't really see how we get ourselves out of this... either today or in the longer term...

none of the players look bothered or capable...

and as I type that... Burnley attack again and the ball is slammed into the back of the net.

    fupp me that was bad...

Roberto throws the ball out to Balbuena... Blbuena can't get to the ball in time... it's nicked off him by a burley player... cross into the box, Burnley player gets to it firs... it's in the back of the net.

    Yup... you read that correctly...

and to add insult to injury... they're adding there minutes to this shitshow...

Dear old auntie Beeb does not mince words...

    43 mins
GOAL - Burnley 2-0 West Ham
    Chris Wood
Jimenez's throw out is sloppy, but Balbuena's control is worse and Dwight McNeil races away to drill the ball across the box.

Chris Wood makes no mistake for a goal that really does stand this time, and his "referee with finger to his ear" celebration sums up his feelings after that disallowed effort just earlier!

    'VAR is a shambles'
    Burnley 1-0 West Ham

    Jonathan Walters
Former Republic of Ireland international on Final Score
This VAR is a shambles. You can't even see where Ryan Fredericks' foot is. That's been disallowed but the first goal shouldn't have stood either! It hit Ashley Barnes and went out for a goal-kick but the referee's given a corner - we all missed it earlier.

Mr Friend is not a friend of the home fans right now, who are incensed when they think a backpass into Jimenez isn't given.

That said, West Ham are still miles off the pace of this game.

I might be lost for words... but Twitter is on hand to help me out...

Balbuena over Ogbonna is such a joke. Pellegrini needs to be sacked

Play Fab on his crutches next game please.

That was woeful. The players have lost it!

But none of the team are playing not just Roberto 😳🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 another really poor performance

How long will Pellegrini last with these results. Feel sure he has lost the players confidence.

Do the players actually train together is their any sort of tactics it’s looks like 11 strangers dragged off the street and given the ball

    Shambles

Annual ‘make Burnley look like Barca’ almost complete 👍 congratulations ⚒

Just absolutely dire. Five hundred mile round trip to watch another embarrassing performance. Haven’t won a header , can’t pass to each other and can’t be bothered to tackle. Oh and a keeper that doesn’t catch anything.

It’s not knee-jerk to say thaT Pellegrini has lost his mind and the dressing room.

    Shambolic and embarrassing.

Seriously this is shocking. We are offering nothing
