Yup... a minutes's silence and a knee for those that have been systematically disenfranchised.
It's so disheartening to take even a cursory, fleeting trip around the barest minimum of footballing social media and see the numbers of - 'scuse my french - just complete cunts out there who follow the game.
we're living through seismic changes in society that should have been acknowledged and dealt with years before - but now is as good a time as any to try to fix the problems that have caused so much pain and suffering to so many of our fellow human beings.
Yes... we are back.
For how long? Who knows? How will it go? Same answer. Is this a temporary change in circumstances or the new normal? Your guess is as good as anyone's.
So... we still have that fupping idiot M*yes in charge... we still have the GSB brand dragging us further and further into the mire...
I can't wait until we're rid of all of them - and as much as it pains me to even think t - if it takes relegation to get shot of them... then maybe it's not the worst thing in the world.
And then there's the shitshow that is the current West Ham team... what exactly has this enforced 100 day shutdown done for us fortunes?
Honestly... until a ball is kicked... all bets are still off...
villa somehow managed to bollox up the whole VAR system and sneak a valuable 0-0 draw for a point...
norwich looked as woeful as they had when the season was still on it's regular schedule and did us all a favor by getting stuffed by Soton.
and then there's those white hart and boys hoping to be buoyed by the return to first team action of their talismanic Harry Kane - and they couldn't even manage to beat ManUre....
and now there's us. Ngakia was one of the bright spots of the piss poor season this far but apparently doesn't want to stay with us - and given the arseholes running the club, I can't say I blame him no matter how dispiriting it might be to see a bright young talent want to go somewhere else.
The days of feeling any sympathy, longing or obligation to the club really are long long gone.
By the time we take to the pitch tomorrow, two more games will have been completed, two games that will have a major bearing on our fortunes as the stumbling, staggering season crawls to a close...
Brighton and Watford, the teams supplying the bread to the West Ham sammich are in action - fortunately not against each other, so there is the possibility that Leicester and Arsenal can do us an immense favor and consign them both to losses... but relying on other teams is not something we should need to do to at all..
So... by 9:30am Los Angeles time we could be in a position to put ourselves three points ahead of Watford and level on points with Brighton (I know... I know... how low are our hopes, sights and expectations these days??????)
But all of that pre-supposes we can actually beat the Wanderers of wolverhampton - and there's not been much sign of that lately...
