Hats Off To Palace Empty Hats Off To Palace

Post  Hungry Hammer 66 Thu 17 Apr 2014, 12:03 am

I'm a South London boy and one of my best pals part owns Crystal Palace and I've been to plenty of games at Selhurst park over the years, they are a proper community club with cracking fans and I just wanna say hats of to Tony Pulis and all at Palace for an incredible second half of the season and securing their premiership status, saying that I hope we beat the fupp out of them on Sunday !!!

This is interesting. I disliked Pulis's Stoke with a vengeance, they were thuggish and horribly predictable, and as he was there so long you would have to say they were a reflection of what their manager intended. Since moving to Palace he has largely had to play to play a hand dealt by someone else as far as players go, but has had remarkable success, much to my surprise. Could be that he has changed his philosophy, could be Palace were a much better outfit than anyone thought, could just be that every dog has his day. Anyway, he has definitely secured his position at Palace now, so it's going to be interesting to see how they play next season. No doubt the fans are over the moon for now about staying up, but I wonder if they will be so happy if Palace start to turn into Stoke Mark 2?

Question for HH66 - would he rather have had Pulis than BFS?

yeah that  Spent many years going to Palace as well, but getting paid to be there (wouldn't go otherwise) Always thought they were an shit division 2 club at best, with bobble hat fans. Now they are going to be Stoke Mk II with nob head Pulis in charge, like them even less  Vomit .

Just shows how bad we are getting that we can not beat even them angry2

palace ruined what would have been one of the best day of my life at the play final. i will always hate them for that.

I wouldn't rather Pulis to BFS here, they are much of a muchness and palace are just having that one good season that newly promoted sides often have.

at least we have (probably) survived our difficult second season. something to build on there (silver lining and all that)
