Jack Collison

Jack Collison is finally set to make his long-awaited comeback from a long-term knee injury when West Ham reserves play Manchester United on Friday.

Collison has been ruled out for the last year with a serious knee problem which required surgery.

The Wales international resumed training at the start of the year, but the club have refused to rush him back into action and are not prepared to take any risks over his comeback.

Collison is still hoping to play a major role for the east London club as they look to force their way out of the bottom three.

The talented midfielder is set to play his first game when the reserves play at Bishops Stortford on Friday afternoon.

Be good to see him back but hope they dont rush him to avoid more injury, anyway wheres he gonna play as Hitz, Parker & Noble are playing well together, even O'Neill is a regular in the team or atleast on the bench.

He's back in training and playing against the Mancs reserves today. I don't think he'll play in the prem this season.

Came on as sub after 60 mins, so has 1/2 an hour under his belt. Will need a few runouts in the stiffs before he can really be in contention for the first team, so I think the blonde is right, may not see him in the first team this season. At least we 'll have him back strong for next season, wherever that maybe!

I say keep him back until pre-season next season. He has 10+ years of football ahead of him, at least, so let's not rush him back. He is too valuable to us
