Is Sam, Nolan's agent??? 5 year contract on 50k a week?? In Tesco you can get 3 chickens for a tenner.

The length of contract is why he wanted to leave Newcastle. They were not prepared to offer him a 5 year contract and the security that comes with it. Sam was

He wouldn't have signed if we hadn't offered him 5 years and Sam wanted him here - as captain

A shorter contract would have been better, obviously, but as Tony pointed out, the Davies done what they did to get him here and it's worked out ok so far. He is no Kerian dire

i think it was a fair enough deal, we got him on a free and with all free's the player gets a higher wage because of it, i can think of far worse contracts we have handed out in the past thats for sure.

i thought we aid about £4million for nolan?

did we? even if we did we got a top premeirship player to drop a division and stay with us, i still think it was a deal we had to do and we have still made worse contract decisions in the past

but yes i agree, i still think it was a good bit of business.
Nolan scored the opening goal of West Ham's new season on the 18 August 2012, netting in the 40th minute against Aston Villa, with West Ham winning 1-0.
