Re: Paralympics Team GB thread
We watched the opening ceremony and build-up on channel 4 last night. I’m not sure their news readers John Snow and Krishnan Guru-Murthy were the right choice for this kind of thing. They are good political commentators and Rottweiler’s with politicians but this ad-lib commentary just didn’t suit them.
Good to see The Blading back though.
Very emotional piece about a woman who lost both her legs in the 7\7 bombings of the London Underground who is competing in the volley ball.
We have tickets for the athletics on Friday 7th.

We got lucky, I think we logged into the ticketing web site during the 32 second window of opportunity.

Re: Paralympics Team GB thread
Personally I don't give a monkey's how many medals GB wins, I admire every single disabled sportsman that's competing. They put some of our own " problems" in perspective for sure.
The thing to be really proud of is that GB invented the Paralympics.

I like the way that when Channel 4 goes to adverts, the music they play has the sound of a squeaky wheel in it

Re: Paralympics Team GB thread
I wonder if the South Korean archer who's technically blind competes in both the Olympics and the Paralympics? Do you have to choose one or the other, anybody know? ( I'm too lazy to look it up!)

It was awe-inspiring, he was like a combine harvester on nitro.... good job none of the others looked behind them, they would have chucked themselves out of the way!!
