Just listened to BFS's prematch interview on WHUTV and he said the only injuries that we have in our squad are Collison and Carroll

seems like Carroll will be back, at least to feature, for the arsenal fan, as BS was urging hodgson to use him sparingly for engand games coming up...

Not one mention of me injured by shutting a car door on my finger last weekend-TWICE.

And yes, it was the same finger. Good job I weren't scratching my arse at the time.

collys injury is now causing some concern

Jack Collison has been told that his injured knee will never fully recover.

The Welsh midfielder has been out of action since the end of last season and according to Sam Allardyce, will have to manage the problem for the rest of his career.

Allardyce - whose West Ham team look to continue their winning ways with a potential fourth straight victory at home this season - revealed that the problem arose as a result of Collison's involvement in the final few games of the 2011/12 campaign.

"We thought it would be okay and he thought it would be okay," he told reporters ahead of today's Premier League clash. "At that particular time he had no real problems with his knee.

"Perhaps it was the excitement and the adrenalin of the games we were playing and his strong mental state that it did not appear to be a problem.

"But once it is all over, the body relaxes and the mind relaxes you start to feel those aches and pains. Then, the fluid got involved around the knee and we have had a lot of trouble overcoming that.

"It is a concern to us because we would hope Jack would recover enough to start training and playing. If that does not happen very soon our medical staff will have to seek somebody else’s advice on what we can do.

"An operation would make it better but it would never recover 100 per cent. I don’t know how long that would put him out for and I hope it doesn’t get to that."

Collison, who played a major part in West Ham's return to the Premier League having scored both goals in the play-off semi final first leg win at Cardiff hasn't played since appearing at Wembley in May.

The 23-year-old, who made his debut for West Ham at Arsenal on New Years Day 2008 has made a total of 87 appearances for the Hammers.

Even more worrying are the comparisons to Paul McGrath and Ledley King, both of whom were unable to train between games. Poor Jack is only 23

    Awful news, poor Jack Sad

We can only hope that his heroics in our run in to the Premier League were not to blame. If it turns out that this was the case, he will be forever in West Ham's debt.

    Good luck lad xx
