Re: John Terry is a racist - FACT
I'm quite surprised that the FA didn't bottle it, given that they could point to the trial result and just shrug their collective shoulders.
Crikey, I'm actually impressed by something the FA has done, that's got to be a first...

As long as the FA keeps their nerve through his "appeal", I'm just happy that the bloke is exposed as the slimeball he always has been. And fair dues to Anton for sticking with it, I reckon he must have had all kinds of shit from Mr. Terry's friends.

Sounds a lot of money however £220,000 is less than 2 weeks pay for Terry.
4 games is not much of a ban.

Re: John Terry is a racist - FACT
£200k is nothing and four games will not really dent Cheats attack on the premiership trophy, but the fact that he is now exposed as a racist is the damning point.
Good on the FA, now as has been said above keep your nerve and fcuk him again at the appeal!

Now I am not an expert lip-reader - nor do I like John Terry at all - however.............I still think he actually said "I didn't call you a black c**t. Fcuking knobhead"
Why did that go to a court of law and then to the FA?

Its odd aint it Tone.
As much as I detest the little shit, I think the FA are out of line. How can they find him guilty when a court of law did not, are they above the law?

Whilst in the Court of Law, Mr Terry admitted using the phrase "finguck black cnut". The case in the court of law revolved around context and usage of such phrases in everyday football world. It was banter apparently. The judge couldn't, without some question of doubt, say it wasn't just banter and not a remark premeditated to be offensive to the recipient.
The fact he admitted that he used the phrase "finguck black cnut" signed his death warrant with the FA. The FA didn't even need the word black to be able to ban him.
It is an offense to use foul or abusive language towards other players or match officials on the field of play. This Rule is largely overlooked by match officials, (wrongly in my mind as it sends the wrong message out to grass roots football), who accept, (wrongly), that swearing and foul language are acceptable in everyday language.
Eric Cantona got banned for 8 months for attacking a racist
John Terry gets banned for 4 matches for being a racist

So, just to clarify for this confused old man, did he get a 4 match ban for swearing or being a racist?

Who knows Chas.....I think the FA make it up as they go along.
But Blakey is right, like in a court of Law, circumstantial evidence and hear say have to be ignored. The FA on the other hand have to be seen to be doing something, against racism or using foul/abusive language.
But I feel they are again using Terry as a scapegoat, so I wouldn't be shocked to see him win an appeal.

Terry will not win an appeal.
He admitted using foul and abusive language whilst under oath in the high court.
If he appeals, he will lose and the ban will be increased to 6 games, imo.
