It's time for The Fat Controller to stop papering over the cracks in his post match comments etc as its plain for all to see and as ive constantly banged on about that our style of play and subsequent position in the table are the direct consiquences of him and the board puting all their eggs in the clearly flawed Andy Carroll basket and Hit and Hope football.
Yes we had our day in the sun against the four by twos by catching them off guard with their backs turned at the Wailling Wall ! Lol but the rest of the prem is now wise to that plan and our hotch potch team of classless journey men footballers (assembled by Fat Sam ) arnt good enough to score and there are no guarantees that when Carroll is back after all the serious injurys that he'll never be at his previous level and will probably keep breaking down.
Look I know we're not conceding but I'm not happy with 0-0 to the Cockney Boys and hoping we finish fourth from bottom and  that an injury prone striker and The Fat Controllers hit and hope football is our vision for the future all of which are deffinately NOT THE WEST HAM WAY

It's an interesting rant, but I don't agree with a lot of it.

I don't think we can really blame Sam or the Dave's (I wouldn't blame them for anything anyways) on our current predicament. Yes we have put all our eggs in the Andy Carroll basket, but from my seat in the bobby Moore upper on the last game of the season, that's pretty much what every single one of the fans wanted when they were singing songs (in unison) along the lines of "Andy Carroll, we want you to stay). We also spent the earliest part of the summer fretting over how long it was taking to sign him up/ wether another club would come in and poach him.

We won the race and Sod's law struck and struck again, he's been injured ever since. I'm quite sure we did all we could to sign players like lakuku but for whatever reason (probably not wanting to be Carroll's understudy) we got turned down.

Sams current formations are the result of choice, but necessity. Personally I think it's a testament to Sam that we are still grinding out points to give us a fighting chance once Carroll is back/ jan comes along and we can make signings.

If we are in the same position come the end of jan then I'd agree something is seriously wrong. At the moment were are just being very British about it and grinding out points as best we can. And no man at the helm would be better then that.

17th come end of May would do me just fine. Just going to be one of those seasons.

Edit: I also don't think your pessimism that Carroll will (possibly) never be the same again is right. Sure it will take him longer then we would like to be firing on all cylinders again and sure we will probably have to rush him back quicker then a top club with 4 big name strikers at their disposal would. But I think Andy is desperate to go to the World Cup and prove himself and we ll be the team of 2014. Hopefully.

to be honest the WEST HAM WAY would have been to go down in this game by one or two goals, had we played 10 games in the prem in the past without a good striker we would be lucky to have 5 points let alone 10, history tell us that
