Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
Incidentally does Diame ever attack people or does he always try to do a drag back and lose the ball?

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
Adrian gets clean clearance... but can't even get the ball to the halfway line... we should stop him kicking the ball.
ooooh....
dined cross into the area... just misses the player on the far post
corner to West Ham
Noble to take.
why haven't we played with this much bite in the last 9 or 10 games?
do we save it just for the spuds?

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
oooh.. solid midfield... cuts out a spuds attack...
ball comes out wide to the left... it always does... not sure why we get away with the same thing over and over again...
ball looped in... Loris gathers.
Spuds trying to play it out from the back.
I'm glad Reid's back in the team.
Jeez... Loris just edges Nolan... blah balh,,, shot comes in low and hard... Loris just tips it round the post
quick corner... Reid hustling in the pop corner and we get it back out for another Downing corner... or was it? no... spuds free kick for something or other

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
nice run form Diame
end with throw to us pop the spuds penalty area
e're definitely the better team at the moment... but will it last?
not looking forward to one of our regular second half slumps.
It's great to see the team playing with this uch bite... but in a way that just makes it so much more frustrating that they've been so piss poor recently.
Does it really take a London derby and/or the last home game of the season for them to actually bother?
Good save from Loris. Despite the Loris being the cutest and slowest animal on the planet... the goalkeeping version is all over the shop and keeping spuds in the game.

Nice to Noble running at people through the middle and on the floor!

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
why're all the Championship games lunch time kick offs?
can't the powers that be leave things alone and let footie be footie?
Spuds with a succession of throws down by our touchline...
we're defending in numbers but Spuds are trying hard
we have the ball back in midfield and a throw to us on the halfway line.
we need to keep this tempo going... it's got spuds a bit rattled
if we slack off they could come back into this
yellow card as Dawson clatters Noble on the edge of the box... nice... get all their defense of cards... then keep pummeling them.
free kick to us on the edge of the box...
Carroll to take again?
what the fupp?
while everyone is watching Carrol... Downing steps up and almost passes the ball into the net...
He seemed almost as surprised as everyone else....

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
the ball went straight through the wall... what a lard...
2-0 to the cockney boys...
I'm actually feeling ok about having had no sleep and being up at the - not even - butt crack of dawn...
holy crumbs... Carroll digs the ball out from under him and his shot from the edge of the area just slips past Loris' post...
we HAVE to keep this up.
This is how you play, this is how you WIN.

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
watching the replays of the goals at half time...
priceless headed own goal for our first...
but the 2nd takes the biscuit.
watch it wherever you can but the looks on Paulinho and Adebayor's faces as they both turn away from Downing's shot and let the ball, waist high, fly between them and into the empty goal...
shockingly horrible from a defensive point of view but absolutely hilarious from everyone else's

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
West Ham 2-0 Tottenham
BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra summariser Bradley Allen at Upton Park: "West Ham's intensity and application has been far superior - this could easily have been three, four, five or even six-nil. They have been right in control from the very first whistle. Spurs have been sloppy defensively - and since the red card they have fallen away. West Ham will be delighted with what they have seen."
I'm not sure I'd go as far as 5 or 6... but we're good value for the lead and that's all I care about.
Of course... we can't win for losing... and if it keeps as it is, then ManUre have the potential to get into Europe by winning their last three games...
But pleeeeeeeeeeeease... football really needs ManUre not to have any european football... or spuds... is that really too much to ask?
2nd half underway and we're kicking towards the south bank, I mean, Bobby Moore stand.

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
what is Adrian doing running out towards the corner flag and leaving an open goal?
fortunately Spuds can't even whip a ball into the box...
49 minutes gone...
free kick to us in the middle of our half... Adrian takes
Diame tap dancing in the area but is eventually bundled off the ball
good Loris save - again. this time from a Diame(?) bicycle kick

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
corner to us.
everything seems to be played in front of the west stand.... so Jarvis gets all the action in the first half and Downing in the second... it's predictable as hell but Spuds don't seem to have any answers today

Nolan unmarked... six yards out... awesome save from Loris who is looking rightfully pissed at his defense...

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
Spuds are trying, I guess, but they really don't have much of a clue today.
brilliant run down the wing by Downing (see earlier) but then a dreadfully weak pass robs us of a great shooting chance.
we're still well on top but really should be getting another one of those goal things...

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
heh heh.. piss poor "shot" from Spuds.
the crowd seem very happy.
Do you really think there'll be a Geordie walk out at Cardiff today? (yeah, sure.. let's get Pardew back)
Adrian isn't having one of his best days... spills an easy cross around the post for a Spuds corner.
We clear it... spuds throw
30 minutes to go to complete a memorable third victory over the spuds...

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
blimey... an attack in front of the chicken run... very unusual, but nice to see.
free kick to us... kinda midway in their half...
Low shot from Taylor is smothered by Loris.

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
funny old game. Loris is playing a blinder and they're losing.
Adrian is having a bit of a mare and we're quite comfortably on top.
Another Spuds shot into row Z
subs warning up for Spuds...
Paulinho off
Soldano - on
Sandro - on
Siggurson - off

Re: West Ham United FC V Spurs
corner to west ham - noble
another corner to west ham - downing
we get it back from midfield and Noble can't curl it back in like he wants so it loops way over the goal.
halfway thru the second half...
