Leeds are now embarking on a cost-cutting process that has seen the canteen at their training ground closed down, meaning the players have to take packed lunches or send out for sandwiches. The players are also being made to pay to have their kits washed. Hockaday will not have control of transfer business and Cellino intends to flood the squad with free signings and cheap Italian imports. Stuart Taylor, who left Reading at the end of the season, has joined Leeds to take over from Kenny.

Whenever we are always feeling a bit sorry for ourselves with the Dave's and big Sam we should give this article a read and consider ourselves lucky we aren't Leeds fans

It must be horrible for life-long Lids to see their club made into a laughing stock. It could have been us.

Broken goal net at Leeds United on Saturday under repair.

Leeds fan chant during the repair work (~10 minutes): "We're Leeds United - we don't need a net..."

It doesn't seem so long ago on the "old planet Forum" that some of the Leeds fans were telling us to get over the sale of Rio to them as they were a big club with european ambition while we were just a feeder.

    Now't as strange as folk.

I'm fb friends with a Leeds fan through a mod group.  Really funny to see the players they are trying to sign & those who might leave & they don't want to lose.  I know it's not so long since we were in that division but I've never heard of most of them!

I also find there are a lot of Leeds fans of about my age who don't come from that part of the world.  Clearly glory seekers in their younger days.  Give them some credit for sticking at it but I bet they regret supporting the team that was (nearly) winning everything in the late 60s/early 70s.

I can't think why but my son always refers to them as dirty Leeds.

    Been a bloody busy year!!

Rebels have a new manager and as we head into the last six games of the season we are sitting in 2nd just 3 points off the leaders. It's been a hell of a season for the new manager (a former City Legend) and we would have taken top half at the start of the season!! Recently sold our star player (20 year old Brian Lenihan) to Hull City (Arsenal were also looking at him at one stage) so the academy keeps on churning them out.

We play the leaders in the last game of the season (away) but to be honest, they look much better than us and the gap flatters us a bit!!
