Sakho sustains back injury

Diafra Sakho is out of Senegal's clash with Botswana in Dakar tonight - and a concern for this weekend's trip to Everton.

The 24-year-old striker confirmed tonight that he had suffered a back injury ahead of the game, although further details are currently few and far between.

Sakho - who has scored seven goals already this season for West Ham - missed out on the recent trip to Stoke with injury but was back the following week for the goalless draw with Aston Villa.

Hammers fans will be hoping this latest stepback is no more serious, whilst Sakho will not be fully assessed until returning to England.

A couple of ibuprofen and a quick rub down with horse liniment will do the trick.

He and Downing both 50/50 for Everton. Rumours that Reid and Valencia will require fitness tests as well

Why is it when we get to a point when things are good at our club, it all starts to to tits up?

I know what your saying Tony , Why is it every time we are starting to look good etc we always seem to have bad luck follow us

Surely we are due a season where we don't get to many injuries , It always seems other clubs get one or two and we seem to get 4 or 5 maybe more get bad injuries all at once
