    Here we go again.

Difficult not to feel a certain amount of dread... but we'll wait until the kick-off before it really kicks in - or somehow dissipates as we manage to do what we've not done recently.

Don't know who the line-up will feature... don't really care at this point... a good line-up on paper has worked for us and failed with equal likelihood... all I ask is that whoever turns out tomorrow actually turns up.

If Moyes doesn't see or dare to sort out the rotten eggs, then we are doomed. I hope to see a lot of changes today.

All I ask is abit of fire in tbeir bellies and a positive attitude, its not gking to be easy THE foxes are a good side with a good record against usin recent years. Carroll (if he plays)  needs to control his aggression and channel it, to many silly unnecessary fouls.
Just a decent performance would be nice for a change, oh and some goals, and erm 3 points WHUFC vs Leicester 11/24/2017 780148547

    no Noble... I'll take that

Carroll up front as a lone striker - never worked, not with Carroll, not with anyone.

Hopefully the others will back him up so we have more options up front but we never do... so I remain to be convinced...

    Game is underway...

Foxes kick off but we're pressuring them...

and we're behind after 7 minutes and 39 seconds

pass from the edge of the box... goes straight through Ogbonna's legs and so lands at Vardy's feet where completely uncontested, he slots into the back of the net.

It was like a blanket of silence descended over the ground...

apologies... Vardy was the provider, not the scorer...

we cannot play this formation... never have... never will

Carroll... in midfield... plays the ball through to Kayoute who is running past the defense...

    In the box is....

    just Arnoutovic....

but it doesn't matter because Kayoute plays the ball back to Lanzini whose cross is so deep it goes straight to the Leicester keeper...

    in the box was...

    still just Arnoutovic.

nothing changes... players... manager... we still play this pointless formation and get it wrong every single time...

Carroll has an uncontested header inside the 6 yard box...

unfortunately he's defending a Leicester corner... (or maybe fortunately because it means the score stays at 0-1)

Decent chance for us from a free kick... Schmeichel smothers the near post as Arnautovic comes in to try to slot the ball home after Ogbonna's on target header...

We're pressing forward - as best we can.

Another free kick for us on the edge of the penalty box

Leicester just stroll through midfield like we're not even there.

    Mahrez is down injured

    Arnoutovic is down injured

Arnie's been our best most committed player so far... he's got a calf problem... if he goes off we got nothing really...

    both players are still on...

Cresswell takes our third free kick instead of Lanzini... it's pony... straight into the first Leicester defender...

Leicester on the attack again... ball played across the 6 yard box... no defenders within reach but fortunately no attackers either

we get a fortunate break... three on three... Kayoute and Lanzini conspire to not bother shooting or anything... Carroll stands on the edge of the area pissed as fupp... but it wasn't like he was trying to play himself in either...

all those heading out early to get their half time cup of tea...

corner kick... and for only the 6th time n 24 games at the OS... we've scored in the first half...

Kayoute gets up to meet Lanzini's corner kick and kinda heads it towards goal where it comes off the back of Simpson in defense and goes into the back of the net...

Scrappiest of goals... but no one cares...

Half time is on us and we're back level...

    Half Time thoughts:

serious lack of energy and enthusiasm from all of them except Arnautovic... no flow, no confidence.
Lucky to get back into it given how we've played... would love to pick out a positive or two but honestly haven't seen anything.

Every game is a 'must win' for us at the moment and we're strolling around like it's a pointless testimonial

new manager's first home game... was expecting some kind of kick up the ass but they look either scared or just plainly uninterested... not sure which... neither is good... not given the position we're in.

hopefully the scrambled equalizer will inspire a more dynamic or energetic performance in the 2nd half... but I'll believe it when I see it

90 mins... corner comes across an empty 6 yard box but we get another....

I simply do NOT agree that they were strolling around like it was a testimonial. I was there and we were closing down and chasing like we haven't done for ages

I agree that there was distinct lack of quality going forward but "baby steps" for now. Ogbonna yet again proved that he is a mistake waiting to happen. The penalty at Palace and letting a ball go under his foot on Friday night. Time for Declan Rice I think. Reid also needs to realise that he is NOT a ball-playing centre half. Just defend and stop trying to be Franco Baresi or Rio Ferdinand; you are not good enough

Andy Carroll is not mobile enough to play up front in that system. We need a player who can also run the channels. Time for Sakho I think. He will run the channels, can hold the ball up and he scores goals. Carroll does none of those things

Everton are low on confidence so let's get amongst them on Wednesday night. Keep it tight for 20 mins. Wait for the crowd to get on their backs and show some quality

Best I've seen us play for some while and a shame our defence allowed their opener.

I was dreading the calls for protests at the game, whilst the players and manager had all been asking for our support. Thankfully the latter prevailed  scarf

Everton should be on a downer from yesterday, but we'll still need our wits about us Wednesday and not just turn up and expect .................

Like Tony I was also there and agree the team were trying however could not believe how simple their first goal was.
Ogbonna is just a clown and needs to be replaced. We did not create a lot of chances for the home team which I find very concerning and I too would give Sakho a chance in replace of Carroll.

well I'm glad people are paying money and turning up to watch this stuff... the crowd were easily the best part of the game.

Maybe I'm overly delusional or maybe everyone is just so tired of losing that they thought this looked like a decent performance.

We had more clearer cut chances against Watford

We played like we had no idea what the purpose, tactic or formation was

I still say after way too many years of watching us... we cannot play with one up front... whether it's Carroll or anyone else... we're doomed to fail at that... always have, always will...

So seeing Moyes pick basically the same team as Slav and playing the same tried and trusted failed game plan gives me little of no hope for the short term.

fortunately, Everton are even shittier than us... but maybe they'll be up for turning it around at their place on wednesday...

that's what makes this all so wonderfully exciting... no one knows...

Personally I don't think we're in the position to be taking a punt on an unknown at Premier League level. Yes, he's doing well in the U23's. Thats the U23's, not the cut & thrust of a battle at the bottom of the table. Should we reach a level of calm mid table then yes, give the lad a go. Not yet though, it could be what we've been looking for, it could also destroy him.
