Lorks a lummy....


spent me morning looking for a sausage... which I never do... but I did and found one...

and what happens?

missed the first half an hour...

we were 0-1 down after 2minutes...

The wombles had a player sent off...

and here we go...

just been relentless pressure from us since then... and nothing to show for it.

the wombles are being cheered for every header, tackle or clearance...

we must be on about 99.9% possession at this point...

but it's half time and we're a man up but a goal down...

what the actual fupp...

Yes a goal down and their keeper has not had a lot of work.

3 - 1 win.

that was tough going...

apologies for the lack of updates but i couldn't be flicking back and forth between screens....

anyway...

we brought Anderson on at the stat of the 2nd half to "go for it" as they say... it worked like gangbusters... in the sense that it didn't change a facking thing from the first half... just loads of West Ham pressure... the Wombles defending like troopers and us having the cutting edge of a damp piece of tissue paper...

anyway... it went on... and on... and on...

and eventually... we had a long range shot from outside the area... Diop.... through some players and into the bottom right corner of the net... and that was it... 1-1...

then more of the same...

this was a no extra time straight to penalties game... so 1-1 just made the squeaky bum effect even more pronounced and the likelihood of all that effort being wasted in a penalty shoot out loss even more pronounced...

anyway... we kept huffing and puffing...

and it wasn't like we are playing badly... we strung together passes, had a bit of pace... had absolute zero luck up front... but none of it was working.

Chicharito had chance after chance but was just shit out of luck...

and then Ogbonna popped up and stuck in a 2nd goal and....

I dunno... it felt weird... we are leading a game... and we all know how that's worked out for us...

And then the wombles stated stepping up their game... only ten men but then it looked like... oh no... suppose we do this... suppose we claw this back and score not once... but twice... come from behind and then get pegged back by ten nobodies....

and the clock clicked inexorably towards 90 minutes...

Yarmalenko came off having looked pretty pointless... it was his first start of the year (calendar year) and he looks well out of practice....

still Wimbledon wouldn't give up...

but then...

30 seconds till the death...

chicharito got the ball in the area... took it out wide... slipped a player... and the keeper... ran even wider... took his shot... the defender ran back to cover... and the ball ricocheted off him into the net...

1-3

against ten men

against a team who play at the local bus stop...

but the whistle went...

we won...

West Ham won a game...

somehow...

after pretty much 90 minutes of non-stop pressure... dominating the game... after miss after miss after miss...

you really have to feel for the Wombles... they played like champions... yes... it was an almost entirely defensive performance... but that was what they were called on to do... and they did it with ten men... and they did it well...

so all credit to them... must have been tough to swallow after having done so well to so long...







but we won a game!!!!!!

we actually fupping won....

Yet again I was at Work so couldn`t watch the game (One day I will be off on a day when West Ham play). It`s seems we played well but lacked the cutting edge upfront which is no suprise there when it comes to West Ham. Hopefully now that we have our first Win under our belts all be it against Wimbledon it will kick start our season now.
