Everton vs West Ham Sept 16th, 2018

oh dear... as always when we're up against it... Noble is back in the line-up.

will the Toffees prove to be too sticky for us...

it's funny seeing the sizes of the players when they all stand together... there are some right short arses out there... oh well...

2:34 until kick off...yes... less than 3 minutes before we get an idea of whether our season can be saved or if we are truly gonna be Avram Granted...

watched a pretty terrible movie yesterday... Final Score.... no, it's not the John Motson story or a tale of that bloke ... Alexander Graham I can't remember....

it's Dave Bautista... Pierce Brosnan (for about 5 minutes) and Ray Stevens... but it's all set at West Ham...

yup... Die Hard in a football stadium... but it's the dear old Boleyn... obviously totally unbelievable because they have us playing some Ruckie team called Dynamo in the semi finals of the european cup...

but it's a bit of a lard and explains why Bautista was on social media wearing a West Ham shirt..

Everton pushing hard in the opening...

that was an interesting goal kick... play it out to the defense just to have them play it straight back,nullifying the point of a kick... then Fabianski kinda half kicks it to the halfway line and straight to an Everton player...

they must've worked on that a lot on the training ground.

Subs: Cresswell, Snodgrass, Adrian, Sanchez, Ogbonna, Lucas Perez, Antonio.

I guess it's an interesting tactic to make 6 changes to a team that is suffering from not knowing how to play cohesively together - but what do I know?

Everton inches away from a clean one-on-one with Fabianski but we survive...

almost ten minutes gone and

oh fupp me...

I was going to write and nothing to show form us...

when a high ball goes over the Everton defense... Arie squares it to Yarmolenko and boom.... back of the net.

of course... there's only 11 minutes layed and we have all seen exactly what happens when we score first (exactly the same as when we score last, don't score, the sun shines, it rains, etc)

if we win... how many people will be in the"see, we get Noble back and everything it right in the world" camp?

Big test of testicular fortitude coming up...

Yarmolenko put through again by Arnie... Everton get back in numbers and Noble fluffs his part of the proceedings...

we're looking good on the counter... but as always...pressure is our problem... we never apply enough of it and we can't take a lot of it.

Noble gets fouled and we have a free kick about ten yards outside the everton box.

Free kick almost worked... Drop got his foot to it but didn't have the pace to get it past the keeper.

Everton are sitting back a little... which is nice to see but we've been here a lot recently...

well paced West Ham attack but then we off it pu and Eveton almost hit us on the counter but only have one man up top and Balbuena easily deals with it

we're starting to look a little comfortable.

Everton are starting to look a little edgy...

this is squeaky bum time already... it could all go horribly wrong - as usual

almost a great sequence as we fight out of defense... but the passes just get a little too fast and too heavy and the ball goes out of play...

Yarmolenko gets skinned on the wing... the cross finds an unmarked Everton player 6 yard out - the bullet header fortunately goes straight at Fabianski and he saves it...

just the thing Everton need to start to get themselves and the home fans back on side...

25 minutes gone... this is going to be hard work - probably of our own making

but we all know how many times we overturn stats... and not in our favor...

He might be shit at defending... but Yarmolenko curls a beautiful ball past the outstretched keeper...

Everton made a hash of keeper kick out... we rob them... Yarm gets the ball, runs across the area and curls the ball into the back of the net...

half an hour gone... we're 0-2 up...

Everton still seem able to cut through our defense...

it's gonna be a lot of bum squeaking...

can we hang on?


it's weird... we make some great one on one defensive tackles... but as a unit... we get caught out all over the place...

almost a dynamite goal from Walcott... but Fabianski tips it over...

we clear the corner but then Anderson gets sloppy and gives away possession... Everton keep up the pressure

we've only had two shots on goal so far today - both of them into the back of the net.


Everton almost bust us wide open and score but Fabianski is down again to keep the ball out.

As much as I do like Adrian, I can't fault Fabianski in any of our games so far... he's been a good buy

'Blowing Bubbles' is ringing out around Goodison Park now.

West Ham are brimming with confidence, Everton are all over the shop. Marco Silva is scratching his chin on the touchline and wondering how on earth they turn this around.
