gillingham were over stretched trying to get the equalizer so had holes in defense as West Ham hit them on the break...

a performance that once again raises a bunch of questions... but the result is all that history will show.

for some reason Sanchez comes on... doesn't get a touch as the final whistle goes.

nice to see us beat a league 1 team... only time will tell how the additional cup fixtures will bear on our threadbare squad.

fortunately Fabianski didn't have a huge amount to do so this can be seen as more of a rehab session for him than a full on game

Better second half and I felt the back 3 did OK.
