    from talkshite

But Allardyce says that is highly unlikely to happen and the club will only listen to a straight cash offer, believed to be in the region of £8m.

Allardyce said:"At the moment we are in a position where there are no bids to consider for Scott Parker. As far as I am aware the loan deal is out of the question.

"There is still a long way to go before the end of the transfer window and a lot of clubs could find they are missing something and could pounce on one of the quality players we have got here.

"Unfortunately if the money is right we would have to consider it because of our financial plight of getting relegated from the Premier League and that is just a fact of life."

The longer it goes on without him going the better for us. Even if he just stays till January and gets us into a good promotion position, I'd be happier, if we are in the top two then he may well decide to stay and get promoted with us.

Villa bid for scotty Empty Scott Parker 'will snub Spurs for West Ham

Post  Jiggs Mon 01 Aug 2011, 12:35 pm

Scott Parker 'will snub Spurs for West Ham stay' as club close in on striker

West Ham have been given a huge boost after reports midfielder Scott Parker has told the club he will stay at Upton Park next season, with chairman David Gold also delighting Hammers fans by promising to invest in a new forward.

His commitment to the cause under new manager Sam Allardyce has boosted hopes the 30-year-old will stay and the club's transfer market activity in bidding for an immediate return to the Premier League is also understood to be motivating him to remain in the claret and blue.

With things seemingly on the up under Allardyce, joint-chairman Gold also vowed that the Hammers manager would be given the funds to bring in another front-man to lead the line in the Championship.

'I can say for certain that we will at least bring in another striker,' he said.

'We will not leave a stone unturned to get the players Sam wants, as was the case with those we have brought in already.'

The promise by Gold suggests that Carlton Cole is ready to move on after five seasons at West Ham and one possible name being mooted is Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome.

Jerome didn't feature in Blues' recent friendly with Everton and his departure wouldn't come as a surprise to new manager Chris Hughton, who has seen a host of names walk out on the Midlands club following last season's relegation.

Thank God. I was afraid it might be true. I have a bad feeling though that we will end up with Barton instead of Parker. I don't know if I can support that guy 🇳🇴

at a rough guess at 60K a week scotty would cost us over 9m in wages over the next 3 years, that might be enough for the porn dwarfs to shift him at 4M.

Parker would be a fool to go to QPR.

Still think it will be Spurs or perhaps Arsenal after we drop the price.

Fulham would suit him better, still within his catchment area and I think Jol even tried to buy him when at Spurts.

Arsenal, who are suffering from a depletion in midfield numbers, want Parker to add more strength in depth.
Gunners boss [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] would like to take the Footballer of the Year on-loan for the season with an option to buy him next summer.
It is understood the Frenchman is willing to pay £2million to secure the temporary deal.
    A
move to north London appeals more to Parker, who does not want another
relegation struggle and would jump at a chance to play in the Champions
    League.

4 mil and I would say your got a deal wrinkle mush , but we have the first dibs to have him back , if we return to the prem Laughing

Do they need someone to clean boots then cos I've got as much chance of getting on the pitch at Citeh as he has.

Are they trying to 'do' a leicester and buy evey player? Parker would be mad to go there, Le Arse would suit him, and us if it was a loan deal, maybe, and we got some money out of it.

But, if he dont want to be at UP for whatever reason, we need to cash in now, and use the money for Maynard or some other striker.
