Carlton Cole's terrific November form earned him the SBOBET Player of the
Month prize. The England striker returned from injury to make a huge impact,
although it was a month of several strong candidates. Most notable was
Julien Faubert, who scored 26.1 per cent of the vote behind Cole's 28.9 per
cent. Having sat out the Bristol City draw on the first of the month, Cole
came off the bench at Hull City four days later to provide both assists in a
2-0 victory. It was a similar feat at Coventry City on 19 November, with
Cole the substitute equalising and paving the way for a 2-1 away win. A week
later, he did the same again as he levelled against Derby before the Hammers
won 3-1. His superb month was rounded out by a superb goal to clinch a
tremendous 2-0 win at promotion rivals Middlesbrough on 29 November. The
previous winners this season were James Tomkins (August), Henri Lansbury
(September) and James Tomkins (October).
