    From the offishul......

    Green appeal upheld

Robert Green has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld by the FA

Robert Green has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld by a Football Association disciplinary panel.

As a result, the one-match suspension handed to the West Ham United goalkeeper has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

Green had originally received a red card for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity at Blackpool on Tuesday 21 February 2012.

The decision means the 32-year-old stopper will now be available for Saturday's npower Championship visit of Crystal Palace to the Boleyn Ground.

Green has made 27 league appearances for the Hammers this season, keeping ten clean sheets as Sam Allardyce's side go into the weekend top of the table.

Thank God for that WH Flag
We can not afford to Lose Green through injury or red Cards in the last few months of the season as with only Boffin and Stech has our only back ups we would be in the sh*t Sad

I hoping that when we get promoted BFS gets green to sign a new contract and also Bring in a decent back up as Boffin and stech would not be any good in the Premiership Smile

If/when Rob Green leaves the club I can see Marek Stech becoming our No.1. Ludo really rates him highly. It is a shame that his contractual situation is holding him back

Totally agree, Stech could be our future No 1, if they cannot keep Green, which obviously would be the best thing for the club (and Rob Green if we are in the premiership). Just a great shame about this £700K if he plays 2 more games.

It is only a problem because he will not sign a new contract as he wants to be guaranteed as our No.1. Unlikely with Greeno there
