Green appeal upheld
Robert Green has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld by the FA
Robert Green has had his claim for wrongful dismissal upheld by a Football Association disciplinary panel.
As a result, the one-match suspension handed to the West Ham United goalkeeper has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
Green had originally received a red card for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity at Blackpool on Tuesday 21 February 2012.
The decision means the 32-year-old stopper will now be available for Saturday's npower Championship visit of Crystal Palace to the Boleyn Ground.
Green has made 27 league appearances for the Hammers this season, keeping ten clean sheets as Sam Allardyce's side go into the weekend top of the table.
