It goes on to say : "The club in question will be fined if they are promoted to the Premier League and will be hit with a transfer embargo if they remain in the Championship." I bet knowing our luck it will be us , Which would mean should we not go up and we lose players we would not be able to buy players as we would have an transfer embargo oover us Evil or Very Mad

They are not implementing it for this season in retrospect. It says it is from next season so will only affect us if still in the Chumps then-it will then be an end of season tott up to see if the rules have been broken.

I think it is stupid and nothing more than a token gesture to be SEEN as doing something in a worl wide recession (supposedly). All it will do is drive payments underground and therefore underhand and also it is justly unfair as it makes the poorer teams even less likely to catch up with the big boys.

It is argued money has ruined football but this could ruin a lot more clubs than any other breakthrough; Maximum wage abolished, Bosman and its after affects (you know where the transfer fees would drop and wages would increase) then Satelite tv and all that bought the game.

The sad thing is, only the fans suffer.
