West Ham co-owner David Gold plans to open contract negotiations with Robert Green as soon as possible following the club's promotion.
Gold has stressed the Hammers' desire to keep hold of the goalkeeper and is confident they will be able to negotiate fresh terms, with Green's current deal set to expire next month.
The 32-year-old, who helped West Ham to play-off glory at Wembley on Saturday, is one of three goalkeepers selected in England's Euro 2012 squad and will now look to sort out his future as soon as possible.
Gold told BBC Sportsday: "One of the first negotiations that will take place will be with Robert Green.
"He is a world-class goalkeeper and his salary would be commensurate with that, but now that we are in the Premier League we can sit down with him. I am confident we can keep Robert."
Gold added: "There was no way we could keep Robert in the Championship in the second year after relegation by paying him his value."
