New catering firm at UP

Elior has knocked rival caterer Compass Group out of the Premier League contract at West Ham FC, in a deal worth nearly £10m.

The French-owned caterer takes over from Compass tomorrow (1 June), Caterer and Hotelkeeper has learnt, just two weeks after the London team was promoted back into the Premier League after one season in the Championship.

The two-year contract, worth £4.9m a year in annual turnover, will see Elior provide all food services on both match days and non-match days at the Upton Park ground.

Elior will also be responsible for all hotel services when on non-match days West Ham converts its executive boxes into bedrooms with views over the pitch.

West Ham joins QPR as Elior's second premiership football client. The caterer also counts Brighton & Hove Albion, Glasgow Rangers and Port Vale among its football portfolio, as well as Scottish rugby ground Murrayfield.

Lets hope WH water bill will go down , get rid of the dodgy pies and the carpet burgers
Dawn Gallimore, director of sales and stadia at Elior, said: “We feel especially proud to have won this new contract based on the service we offer and recommendations from existing clients.

“Our aim is to deliver pleasure and joy to consumers and our offer at West Ham is set to give fans a great customer experience."

Do they make good cheese rolls.
JDLK will be disappointed if they don't.

They are going OTT with the cheese rolls Chas , adding tomato next season , could get messy if JDLK dont catch them right

If they are serious about giving the fans a great customer experience, as well as better food, they need to also a) Sack the staff that presently serve on matchdays or b) give them all an intensive crash course in customer service performance and professionalism and c) Charge acceptable prices.

They also might want to try telling them that thousnads of people will want food and drink and no the hot dogs not been ready at 1:30 is not exceptable

Same over priced shit served by same uninterested 18 year olds just with a different name. Expect small or no improvement.

And I don't like tomato, pickle or anything else in cheese rolls!

I like a good chunk of Cheddar and freshly made rolls with butter.

That's all you need, all you need.

Can only find pies and a cuppa.......interesting how other prices vary though.

The pie n peas in the away fans bar is wonderful

It doesn't matter which company runs the catering if they employ "care in the community" personnel behind the counter like they do normally !

food at upton park is crap .... just warm ... served by a bunch of throwbacks who seem to enjoy touching their hair before handling your food .... disgusting

best grub at a footy match has been Wigans pie and peas ..... and QPRs hot dogs ... everywhere else has been shit .... spurs couldnt even get their chicken soup right

had a pie at Brentford once.. bloody thing was so hot that the contents had evaporated

and also another game at Leyton Wingate, we got there to find the roof of the main stand had blown across the road in the previous nights storm along with the burger van
