So after three games we are sixth with six points, much further up the table that I would have though with 2 more points than I predicted.

Southampton having no points and Spurs being 14th is worth a mention [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I am not getting carried away. We have not played a decent side yet to be fair. Both Villa and Fulham were poor and had nothing up front to worry our (distinctly average) back four. At Swansea we shot ourselves in the foot but did not have the nouse or creativity to get back into the game and were easily beaten. Would I have taken 6pts after 3 games? Of course I would. But there is a long, LONG way to go

I wonder how the league table will look for us at Christmas?!!

It makes sense to aim higher, and have that sense of 'we should be beating' certain teams etc etc. We might not finish in the top 10 of course, but I'd like to think that having this kind of mindset might just play a part in how we approach matches.

Our best form of defence is attack, so we have to think along those lines.

I did not expect us to beat Villa or Flum, but thought we could beat Swansea, so Im 100% wrong in my predictions so far Wink Not getting carried away here either. When we play a couple of good teams, maybe we already have with Swansea?, then we will know how we can expect this team to fare. Norwich, there is a team we should be looking to beat, Therefore I totally expect us to lose that one, especially as Carroll is out, which is worrying me quite a bit!

Distinctly average back four!! 2 clean sheets, 2 bad defensive mistakes against Swansea. Otherwise they have been great. Your a trifle harsh matey.
