You clearly haven't seen how poor our midfield is without him Alfie !

i was very much being ironic, thinking if he's crocked and we can keep him out the headlines in jan then he's ours for the crucial feb-may part of the season

We really do need this guy and someone to help him in midfield.

Alou Diarra is back in light training and may be back around Xmas. In a 4-2-3-1 Diarra and Diame are perfect as the "2"

I honestly think Diame is the new Viera, once he works on certain aspects of his game he can be that good! at Newcastle he was awesome and ruled the midfield...he'd be my vote- at this stage- for HOTY

Alou Diarra is class too. Played every game for France at Euro 2012 and looked good in the Capital One Cup (albeit against inferior opposition)
I am sure that BFS had him and Diame in mind for his two holding midfield players. Noble may well be on the fringes when both are fit. Assuming Diame is still with us of course !

So we could come the end of january have Vaz Te,Diarra,Diame,Collison and Yossi all back from ijury with just Carroll on the injury list ? so really we would have a near enouth fit squad unless ..."touch wood it dont happen" we get more injuries between now and then

Gold has tweeted that Diame would be out for 10-12 weeks, when someone questioned that they thought it was 3 weeks Gold said no one will really no until he has a scan today.

Good answer Dave!
Why so long for a scan to be done though, Surely he aint NHS?

They have to wait for the swelling to subside sufficiently to get a good image and assess the seriousness of the damage.

even if he is injured for 12 weeks (which it appears he isnt) he would still get bought in january window, its a bloody hamstring not an eduardo leg break ffs!
