Hitz and Ba offered new deal :)

Thomas Hitzlsperger is currently mulling over a new contract offer - with hopes high that the German international will stay at West Ham.

KUMB.com understands that the 29-year-old has been offered a new contract to remain with the club in the Championship next season. Hitzlsperger is one of two senior players - along with Demba Ba - to have been offered a new deal in the past few days.

Having joined the Irons in June of last year Hitzlsperger had to wait until the end of January before making his competitive debut, having been injured whilst on international duty for Germany last August.

The Munich-born midfielder is understood to be giving the contract offer serious consideration, with that recent injury very much in his mind. Having stuck by him during his long spell on the sidelines, Hitzlsperger is said to feel he owes the club at least one full season.

'Der Hammer' , as he is affectionately known moved to east London o na free transfer last summer having been released by Lazio. Since joining West Ham he has made 13 appearances in a ll competitions, scoring two goals.

To keep them both would be very very good.

With Hitz and Noble along with Jack and lets hope we get ONiel back we have a halv descent midfield I think Spector will stay as well , Ba up front will take the piss in the NPower , its the defence that worries me as it probably worries every WH fan . I suppose we will just have to wait and see

I think we need to find a solid experienced defender to play alongside our young defenders. Wether that be an experienced Premier League defender or experienced Championship defender is another thing.

I agree Ba would be great in The Championship, im still not overly sure about Hitz, his creativity is not in question, I just think
he has looked quite average when he has not had the engine of Scotty P playing alongside him. If he stays he will probably need
a more mobile player alongside him, hopefully that may be Jack Collison.

cool, would be nice if they stayed, especially Ba. That guy could score us over 20 goals in the champs.

They both signed in the last 12 months. Unless the contracts are for less wages or to remove relegation clause (renogiate them to a higher min fee) then whats the point of renewing them? Both have time to run?

With the right support and players like Collinson provding a supply Ba would be a cert for 25 goals in the chumps league, keeping him and Hitzsleberger would be a huge coup.

Certainly would be bloody nice to have them. Will Greeno stay or is he gone? Tomkins and Reid in defence would be good to see.

Could be the making of both of them, Tomka will have to step up as one of the more senior players left and Reid, who looked well off the pace in the premiership could get a decent run in the chumps and do his confidence a power of good.
