Re: Groundsharing with Orient
Odious Hearn is after a compo claim that is all he is interested in, he does not want anything to do with the stadium but is using it as a lever to get cash in his pocket, in the same way the spuds used it as a lever against the council when they were talking about the cash for developing the local infrastructure.

Part of me wants to say 'Okay Hearn you have it then' & see how stupid they look with 4000 people dotted around a stadium for 50000+.

Re: Groundsharing with Orient
I would also want £7.5M - half of the cash we need to lay out up front for the conversions

Re: Groundsharing with Orient
yup take em for £4m ..... no logo on the stadium ...... laughing stock when the TV shows the directors box with more people than the rest of the stadium ...
maybe they can hold snooker comps there too ..... a table on the center spot .......

Re: Groundsharing with Orient
the bit that concerned me... and I'll admit, I didn't listen to the broadcast, just read someone else's analysis of it....
was that it's not up to us whether we ground share with orient and it's apparently still not been completely ruled out.
we're only going to be tenants with a certain number of days tenancy per year - so there's nothing we could actually do to stop the 'owners' from allowing orient or anyone else from doing the same...
it's one of the huge issues about not owning our own stadium...

Re: Groundsharing with Orient
i think Mr Hearn has shown time and time again that logic has little to do with his thought process and it's all about the show... so i fear he'd be more than happy to stand on the center spot at the OS with 25 supporters each with 10,000 seats to themselves, just to make a point...
it's the fact that all of this could potentially take place with us being unable to stop it that irks me the most... and I don't like being irked...

The odious Hearn still believes that if he makes enough of a nuisance of himself, SOMEONE will pay him to go away and shut up. For Hearn, "Olympic Legacy" means cash in his pocket - no more, no less. Personally, I think he will wait a bloody long time to get anything out of Gold, Sullivan and Brady - I just hope that everyone else digs their heels in too, because they all have public money, i.e. our money, in their coffers.

I'm looking forward to playing, (spot the Orient fan).
