Tottenham have won four of their nine games this season through 1-0 wins, with their goal in each of these games coming from a Soldado penalty. In another game they only beat Cardiff through a late, late winner. Our fans will go there cock-a-hoop after the 3-0 win. We have nothing to fear, especially in a one-off Cup game. We may also have Big Andy back by then.

My one concern is the team Allardyce will put out. Beating Tottenham for a place in the Cup semi-finals would be a huge result for every West Ham fan - however, it comes in the middle of a very busy festive season with Man Utd away and Arsenal at home following the tie at White Hart Lane. Tottenham put out a strong side last night and I hope our changes are kept to a minimum.

Spurts are not the real deal this season, we could turn 'em over again. Anyway, lots of potential league points to chisel out before then.

Spurs fans not happy with how they set up at WHL. We did a number on them with a good team. It will all depend on how strong both teams are on the night. They struggled to put away Hull City last night. I fancy us more away from home than at UP right now. Andy Carroll should be match fit by then and could be the difference

We are the third of three home games they must play in six days after Anzhi and Liverpool. I have to admit to being quietly confident - either way it promises to be a cracking game. I'll definitely be getting a ticket. What better early Christmas present than a Cup semi-final place at the expense of Tottenham, by beating them (again) on their own patch?!

Love your optimism dude. The trouble with west ham is often when things look promising the fade and die bit kicks in

One thing I have learnt over the last 22 years is realism Alfie! But where would we be without even a slight notion of romantic dreaming!
