Re: Aston Villa V West Ham United FC
I would be happy with coming away from Villa park with just a point today as I feel this going to be a tough game for us made harder by the fact we will be missing Carroll upfront though it would be great to make it a hat trick of clean sheets and another 3 points !!
I would like us to give Barriello a chance upfront today to so we can see what can do in this league etc
My Team would be : 4-5-1/4-3-3
Adrian
Demel
Tomkins
Collins
McCartney
Downing
Noble
Diame*
Nolan
Jarvis
Barriello
SUBS:Jussi,Taylor,Reid,Ravel,C.Cole,Armero,Collison
*If Diame injured still then put Nocerino in his place
If we are winning comfortably then I would like Armero to come on for the last 20mins or so and Ravel !

Re: Aston Villa V West Ham United FC
A half full of missed chances, so frustrating.
Jarvis should have had two one on ones with the keeper but let a defender get back and stop him
on both occasions.
For a manager who loves direct football and set pieces why do our corners always come to fupp all.
8 corners so far today.

Win 2:0 away from home, out of the bottom three, edging towards safety and people are moaning about chewing gum. Get a grip will you. COYI

Credit where credit is due, Nolan and Allardyce are answering us critics with performances and results, of which the last three
have been un-feckin-believable with back to back wins making the result and point at Chelscum look even more sensational.

Re: Aston Villa V West Ham United FC
A splendid result and a massive relief. Personally I thought Nolan had been on the wane and maybe on his way out, but he's made me think again.
The way this has shot us up the table shows just how much of a scrap it's going to be to avoid the drop. A bad run of 3 or 4 games can put anyone from current 10th downwards into the shit. Maybe we have got most of our bad luck and poor form out of the way already - I fuppin' hope so. Still going to be a lot of chewed claret and blue fingernails before last knockings, though, I'm sure.

Re: Aston Villa V West Ham United FC
Whilst I am pleased that Nolan is back scoring again, it worries me when during his interview he admitted to having to do work to get his fitness back. How did it slip in the first place? Was he not training hard enough?
I think a lot of us have said that if he is not scoring goals and is not fit enough to put in a shift during games then he brings little to the team
It looks like he has got his fitness and eye for goal back now. Long may it continue
COYI !!
