Not sure where to put this but :
If come January we are still in the top 5 what would you do if you were the board and Big Sam in this transfer Window in terms of what kind of player you look to bring in - So basically what I`m saying is if we are in the top 5 in January would looked to bring in player`s that will help us maintain our push for Europa but also will help in Europe next season should we finish in an European spot which means possibly spending big on player`s or would you go for players that will just help us finish around mid table etc which would mean playing it safe and not really spending much ?

I think If I was the board and Big Sam and we are in the top 5 I would take the risk and look to spend a bit of money on quality players who will help maintain our push for a European spot and help us in Europe next season should we get into Europe

I'd try and make Song a permanent signing

Woefully short of quality at the back - the only area to strengthen (of urgency - better is always nicer but attacking and midfield options are good)

Pretty sure it is not possible to sign a player (Alex Song or Carl Jenkinson) midway through a season-long loan

We need a top,top centre back and a keeper to put pressure on Adrian

We can finance it by getting rid of some deadwood. Maiga, Vaz Te and even Jarvis

We can speak to Song from midnight on Jan 1st as he is out of contract with Barca at the end of the season, the club need to ask him what he want's to sign a perminant contract then give it to him. We can and should tie him up before any other clubs come sniffing around.

Phone Arsenal and ask them what they want for Jenkinson and if we can talk to him.

Have a very good look around for a CB whether or not Reid goes.

    Message ends.

Would love to see an experienced centre back come in for Tomkins, Ginge and even Reid, if he stays, to battle to play alongside.

It's always a risk taking high-mileage CB's, but you can get some very good buys indeed, as Ginge continues to demonstrate. Personally I think Reid will be off to the Arse, Wenger has to buy somebody and he fits the bill only too well.
Can anyone remember if we have tried Demel at CB??

We haven't. So to put him there now would be very risky. Kouyate is the "fill-in" centre back right now

    I think with Demel's pace he'd be a gr......

Sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face there!

Bring Micah Richards back from Italy.

Thinking of Richards out in Italy, I've often wondered if it makes any difference on the field if players all have the same mother language, particularly when you're trying to organise/ reorganise a defence. Surely it must be an advantage? Any views? January Transfer Window 2067971686

Richards comes across as thick as shit so I doubt he understands a word of Italian. Bring him home to us !!

Undoubtedly it can have a huge impact; I would say particularly if the most intelligent (football wise) is a non-mother tongue speaker. But a majority of overseas players have better English than our lads!

Look at West Ham: a Kiwi, a Mick, an Essex boy, a Taff, a Dutch Ivorian and a Scouser. I am not sure what understanding they have of eachother!!

yeah i'd go along with what everyone else said, in terms of who to sign and positions need replacing.

Still hoping Reid stays. I'm not even sure how happy the Arsenal fans would be with Reid. They are an angry bunch at the moment.

Not too many changes too quick I'd say, subscribing to the 'if it aint broke, don't fix it' philosophy. Just a slight tune up in Jan.

    Tidy.

I would sign a decent CB and another GK just to pressure on Adrian but also to take over from Jussi as cant see him staying any longer after this season

But I would also sign on loan to start of with Another decent Striker to cover for Sakho when he goes off to the African cup of nations and look to turn that loan into a permanent deal at the end of the season should that player do well !

Read it elsewhere a few weeks ago , looks like young Ravel's contract will be torn up in the next few weeks, out on his ear

He was worth a punt but enough is enough. I don't think any PL club would touch him with a bargepole by now. Maybe Glasgow Rangers might be interested, they are pretty desperate -and maybe he wouldn't be quite so much of a hard man up there!
