not much news really is there. Long term injuries remain injured. Sam divides us, but I think the majority want him kept on. Looks like we might slip into europe via the fair play league. Which is generally perceived as a good thing.
We could do a summer signings fred....is it worth spending most our transfer funds on two players, Song and Jenkinson, who we already had (albeit on loan). Personally I think Jenkinson is worth keeping and Song too if he rediscovers his best form. It WILL mean the potential squad for next season won't feel very different....just be a case of making temporary players permanently ours. Good business but a bit samey.
Next 5 games...Leicester (a) Stoke (H) Man City (a) Qpr ()a) Burnley (H)....is it wrong to look at that and see between 8-13 points?

I can see between 0 and 15 from this fence I'm sitting on! They're all winnable that's for sure.

TBH
There's no reason at all why we shouldn't get a minimum of 12 points from those games.
Thirteen is realistic.
And Fifteen is not entirely out of the question.
Of course... there is one reason the above scenarios might not happen... and that's because we're West Ham... and we never seem to take the easy, logical or obvious route...

I know City arent on fire, but calling city at the a ethiad a winnable game is abit much. All the other games in theory quite winnable. Teams fighting relegation can sometimes be the hardest teams to play this time of the year. Certainly a decent points yield is entirely possible.

Problem for us is that all the sides we will be facing have something to play for - with the possible exception of Stoke City - and I worry that our players are "on their holidays" already

Stoke home and Citeh away are the two where we are most likely to fupp up. Having said that, this is West Ham we are discussing so nil points and a bottom half finish are just as likely

You know what?
It's been a while since we've been "safe" at this point in the season. So I'ts my plan to sit back and watch it all unfold, without a care, just because we can.

6 point max if you ask me. We might scrape a draw against Leicester and Stoke, beat QPR or Burnley but not both. Lose to City and that, my friends, will be that 10th place maybe and Allardyce on his bike... Since Xmas there has been nothing to get excited about.
