    Slaven now knows the task ahead of getting rid of some of the negative play, he has a fair few weeks and a fair few games to enforce his game on the squad, onwards and upwards hatsoff

    second best result we could have asked for

    most important thing is that we didn't allow them to get an away goal

    now so long as we don't lose 0-1 in Malta then we're through

    Moncs on the comms was a bit of a lark...

    as much as it might not have been a grand performance, it's only the fourth game of our pre-season and pretty much only the first competitive game for a lot of players.

    We'll be better when Sakho is back... plus there's that Nene bloke to appear... and all of our signings from the off-season, so nothing to get depressed about yet... and that's a nice feeling as a West Ham fan.

    Hardly a star but I can well believe this to be true. More and more it's the owners buying players, maybe against the wishes of the managers who might not necessarily want the player in his starting 11
