Shambles of a defence and goal keeper.
Probably bring some more Strikers in in January.

Well, its worked so well this season. Couple it with the fact there was no intention of strenthening the defensive squad (particularly the full backs) until their hand was forced.
No excuses, that was our "strongest" available line up. It failed. I've not watched it but I can imagine it!

Re: West Ham v Watford
An utter shambles after we went 2-0 up.
Adrian not good enough.
Byram inexperienced.
Collins doesn't look match fit.
Reid, not a leader and never consistent enough for me.
Musaka, a stop gap for Cresswell. Need him to defend first.
Antonio, can only head the ball. He scored two headers but before that had a shocking row z shot, fucked up a two yard pass, had the beating of his man but took too many touches and gave it back to him. He'd be a better player if he kept it simple but I don't think he can do that.
Noble and Kouyate both haven't started their season yet for me.
Payet, great start but faded as expected as he has only just returned. Cant bee looking for him to do it all the time and then defend like that.
Lanzini, similar to Payet, we have missed him but needs games.
Zaza, no where near match fit. Hardly touched the ball second half.
The subs Fletcher, Calleri and Tore were never going to change the game it was already gone.
Its time for Randolph to get a league game or two and put some pressure on Adrian.
We need a consistent centre back pairing who are going to get some games together and time to gel.
Reid and Ogbonna doesn't work, Reid and Collins doesn't work.

Antonio did the simple things last season, he ran through walls nd players, his touch has gone nd I attribut that to confidence. Since the latter part of last season he has had no starts in his best position, on his best side. To be honest I was surprised at his England call up on this seasons merits. But I am a big fan of his, especially on his favoured side. Time will tell though because when Feghouli gets fit, he has competition.
Defence, yes . I really can't fathom the ignorance of strengthening the defence full stop. Ginge, to me, had one of those seasonsvthat average players get (usually when knocking on a bit) where there give that little bit more, it comes off and their (as well as the fans) confidence grows.
The only class (potentially) is Byram and Oxford, maybe Burke. But for now, just Cresswell at a push.
Said it a million times, I'm really surprised Bilic doesn't see it (or maybe he does but he's not having enough say on recruitment). He was a defender, surely he sees it?

Re: West Ham v Watford
Said the same thing myself earlier dude.
Very worrying that as a centre back Slaven hasn't spotted the problems there.
With us being in that stupid checkatrade under 23 johnstones paint trophy cup shit thing whatever it is called would it not make sense to stick Burke and Oxford together at centre back in that and league cup games if we aren't going to try them in the league ?
Tomkins never done it for me dude, he always looked like a rabbit in the headlights when I saw him play.
For me Collins, Reid and Ogbonna all look prone to a fupp up.
Id have broke the bank for a solid reliable centre back whoever that may be and then let a youngster learn alongside him.

Yep. All this marquee striker signing bollix, we got Zaza on loan, a player famous for missing a penalty.
Burke's is out on loan again, an odd one because of the PL2 thing and he looked good (relatively) in the 2 games he filled in at LB.
Anyway, too late now - last season was flukey, we scored a lot but conceded too many too. We're stuck with this defence till January.
I see Byram got another yellow today, I hope they're working on Arbeola's fitness and match time otherwise it'll be Antonio at RB again soon.

Re: West Ham v Watford
Not much to say guys. Shocking defending whilst our fans were too busy shouting about standing up.
Few minutes later Collins plays silly buggers.
2-2 at half time and writing on the wall.
Never look like scoring in the second half to go with our awful defending.
I got up to go when it looked like they'd scored again only for it to be call out due to off side.
Very disappointed today and on this display we will be lucky to stay in the Premiership.
Bilic and his team need one hell of a good kick up the backside for today's performance. I don't think Watford could believe there luck. Any Premiership team being 2-0 up at home should win the game.

Re: West Ham v Watford
Dreadful. I'm still not as disappointed as after the Astra defeat, but that comes close. And that's two bad early associations of the new ground.
For the record, we looked good, even very good for the first 40 mins. I was thoroughly enjoying the game, and though Watford had got through us a few times, it just seemed to be an open game.
I sat there thinking to myself, the team is nearly at full strength, the two skilful players who make things happen, lanzini and payet, are back and we look the team I expect and hope us to be.
We then let in two daft goals prior to half time. Ginge and Adrian looked angry. The others all looked deflated. The heads went down, and they looked bereft of talent and ideas there after.
I'm prepared to write this off as a fluke although our defence needs work. Or a new one.
What worries me the most is the players becoming scared to play in our toxic stadium and good players looking average or worse and the on set of a relegation fight. I do believe there is a good team there but if we don't get the crowd back onside soon and a few points then the players will be between before they make it out to bubbles.
I love all the fans I sit with expect for the bellends on my left. I'd even move to get away from them.

Re: West Ham v Watford
Just watching the goals again.
The first one Byram gives Ighalo way too much time to get his shot away.
The second no communication by Collins and Adrian but also the way we reacted after it. Reid doesn't react, he looks across at the linesman ????? Collins headed it past Adrian what the fupp is he expecting ? an offside ?
The third Reid backs off lets them cross, Watford over load in the box, Masuaka, Noble and Kouyate Byram no where to be seen.
Byram turns his back on the first attempt taking him out of the game and Adrian beaten high on his near post.
The 4th didn't look like a foul on Payet to me but no reaction again from our players to stop the shot. This time Kouyate and Noble are back but guess what ? They are both trying to attack the player that Byram is trying to defend against.....Adrian fluffs the save and game over.

Re: West Ham v Watford
Need to drop players for our next game.
Top of my list is Collins,Byram,Noble and Kouyate.
Collins had the worst game I think I've seen him play.
Byram, still raw for the Prem.
Noble, at best a bottom third Premiership player and I don't see him as a leader on the field. Bad game yesterday.
Kouyate, all over the place and not where he should be. Him and Noble got in each other's way.
Just watched the goals on my IPad and think I would now change our keeper as well.

Re: West Ham v Watford
This was a good weekend for my baby girl to get married .... I missed the lot.
From what I've heard West Ham were far from United on and off the pitch.
What is going on with our supporters sickens me.
Onward and upwards? Pfft! It's all about the money.

I'd be fuming if I was Randolph and don't start Saturday.
