always worth keeping an eye on the fringe players who are out doing their business for other clubs...

Two quick goals for QPR at Sheffield Wednesday, both scored by Jordan Hugill, who is on loan from West Ham. Five goals in four games for the former Preston striker. Hint of an offside there, but the linesman kept his flag down.

currently down to 5th as Crystal Palace must have done something...

might even finish the weekend in the top half of the table...


Norwich throw on two subs... 14 minutes to go.

great save from a close range header... Lanzini almost didn't see the ball from Masuaku... but close.

we go nowhere from the resulting corner.

good spell of possession for us... no additional goal to show for it... but it keeps the ball away from our defense and a clean sheet would be very welcome.

noble comes off... C. Sanchez comes on.

it's amazing how different a player Anderson is when he puts in the effort. He's been totally dominant in the past ten minutes or so... as dominant as he can be anonymous when he doesn't try....

we've had five or so efforts on goal in the past five minutes... all set up by Anderson. None managed to sneak past Krull in the Norwich goal... but it's good to see us on the front foot.

anderson gets a deserved ovation as he's replaced by Fornals for the last three minutes.

Rice takes a shot from long range that doesn't trouble the keeper but isn't that wide....

three minutes of added time to see out the game.

all in all... much better.

we are slow off the mark and you always wonder how we'd fare against a good team...

but we got our chance, took it and got stronger and stronger from there.

3 points is the main take away.

A clean sheet (shhh... don't kind it) will be huge for our defense. although Norwich go inches wide at the death.

We're currently 5th in the table and there's only 4 teams still to play their 4th game that could go above us...

we have villa next up and then Man Utd... so that should be a simple 6 points.

Mark Noble got a standing ovation when he went off also, we've missed him.  Yarmolenko is like a new signing for us and will get better and better. He's still not match fit imo....But he's getting there and I can't wait. Diop and Masuaku both had influences on the game and Lanzini was very unlucky not to sore, as was Diop. Then there was Krul's double save ... git!

Has our manager found his best 11?  Hope so, they need a run of games and I thought that was the best team performance for a while.
