I was about to write what an appalling non-cross by Cresswell... but wanted to be nice to him in case he's still concussed...


Our passing is something we really need to work on as a team... it costs us so much... probably seems churlish to comment on it when we're 2-0 up... but there's a reason we're in the position we're in this league and our frequent piss poor passing is one of those reasons...

the defense is playing better than it has done over the season...

that helps

but the midfield still gets over run too easily...

we're stronger in the middle with Soucek and Bowen... but it's still a weakness over all... especially when combined with the nonsense of playing a single player up top.

Declan Rice picks up the ball about 25 yards out... turns inside and boom...

the ball sails into the far corner of the net as the Watford Keeper just sinks to his knees and punches the ground...

even Soucek has his hands on his head...

In the interested of fair reporting... it was Noble who picked up the ball on the wing form Fornals... turns a couple times, then plays it to Rice in space and Rice does the unthinkable...

Three SOT, three goals.

At this rate though, Moyes is going to get to come back.

talking of dodgy passing... johnson and Noble team up to give the ball straight to Watford...

we are on the move forward... Noble plays out to Johnson who returns the ball to him but his pass is way off, beyond the outstretched leg of Noble and goes straight to Watford...

that's the type of stuff we need to get out of our game.

Great half time highlights - for a change...

a good look at the Soucek goal... he picks up the ball in midfield... plays it forward, then looks at Noble and tells him to stay in position to hold the midfield while Soucek moves forward as the ball goes out to the wing...

the ball comes in from Bowen's cross and there is Soucek leaping to head the ball into the back of the net...


a great look at not just his skill and determination but his leadership and understanding of the game... he's been a big part of why we look like we might just do this.

2nd half underway.... I just reminded myself of the West Brom game... because one of me buds tells me this is 'in the bag'...

Watford again go straight through us at the back... the ball is too long... but that's how the 1st half started...

They seem to have figured out this is their season during the halftime speech and are throwing everything at us.

with only antonio up, this is where we get stuck because there's little option to counter because if the ball comes out, Antonio has nothing to do with the ball...

a second Watford goal would be a nightmare at this point...
